Well, there's nothing about Jones and possibly leaving to do other things (like getting a job as Inspector) so I'm thinking he might be for the chop

Why was Jones being harsh towards Sylvia at the end, saying had she had her rights read to her?

I shall miss Jones (the best of Barnaby's SIC's). I like Neil Dudgeon.
But Sykes is the star of the show! |

And with one of the black characters being murdered, murderers in Midsomer are doing their bit for racial equality - at least your chances of dying in Midsomer aren't determined by your skin colour. |

That was a bit confusing - I suppose he meant Hayley. He was a bit p'd off with Miss Mountford about the bullying, so that's maybe why he was harsh with her?

It was, yet, another fantastic episode - but why no explanation to Jones' exit?! It was the perfect time, when he was sat the table, to say he had been promoted or something like that - not just close it without any indication that he had left! Very disappointed that he didn't get the send-off he deserved.

Loved tonights episode. They should make Sykes Neils next partner. Saw a tweet from MidsomerTV saying that Jason decided to leave the show well after they'd finished filming, hence no goodbye scene. Shame, I've loved the partnership between Neil and Jason. Glad to see also they're starting filming in the spring for a new series!!

I just had a thought - what were the cheese bloke and Helen up to that necessitated chucking heavy bags in the pond or whatever it was? What were they doing?????????? |
