I just checked the tv guide, and there is no new episode on ITV tonight. Shouldn't it be on on Wednesday 8 pm BST?

I hope it coming to the end, Neil Dudgeon is just not right, with that silly grin on his face all the time..

There is some interesting news regarding the 100th episode, it will be set in Copenhagen and will feature Danish actors from The Killing and Borgen.

I preferred my idea of Jessica Fletcher and Seth visiting her niece in Midsomer and getting in Barnaby's way with the show renamed "Midsomer Murders She Wrote".

Looks like "The Christmas Haunting" will be shown on Christmas Day, it is a Wednesday after all:
http://www.itv.com/presscentre/ep1we...g#.UpT4H8RdWAY According to wikipedia, this was the third episode of the new series to be filmed, so it's interesting that this seems to be Charlie Nelson's introductory episode. |

The dog is my favorite character. I think we should have a series called Sykes Investigates. He could have a cat as a sidekick.

I doubt it, Christmas Day will surely be Downton. Boxing Day perhaps ?
One other curious point about the press release is that it says this: Quote:

Odd for something freely available on their website...

The dog is by far the most tolerable character in the series, maybe tied with Jones. But when Jones is gone...there goes the show. Cannot stand the smarmy smug Barnaby or his bossy wife.

Have they got rid of Jones? I liked him. I always thought Cully should have married him instead of that feckless mucisian.

If they need a pesky dog to add interest to the story then it seems to me that the story is pretty dire. Mind you, even with a strong story line I doubt if the new Barnaby can hold it together. He'd need a whole pack a dogs to help him. |

I loved the old series and when the new Barnaby came along was a little put out at first then decided it was just a different show so settled to see how it went. Must say it grew on me and by about 4th episode I was really enjoying it again.
Love Sykes and the Barnaby too also like his wife. All in all I think they are great additions to the show. Looking forward to Christmas eve did someone say ? Sorry Jones is going/gone but I am sure the next incarnation will be fine as I have liked all the constables so far. |
