I thought from the start the fat and frumpy woman had to have something to do with it.
Because she's fat and frumpy.

I didn't actually watch this. I got bored after about 20 minutes so I just jumped to the end to see whodunit.

I liked Joyce and Cully cos I liked the family unit, but this wife is completely pointless - and boring - so as I watch this via V+ - to cut out the adverts - I fast forward through scenes with the wife as well.
The one the other week when she was away was the best one yet.

I assume the actress had the baby when she was away and she's now padded?

I don't mind the sidekick but he distracts me because he looks just like the cricketer Steven Finn! Same height ad build as well!
The bump didnt look real

It was lovely seeing PC Hobbs from series one of Ripper Street, looking younger than ever, as the son of the biscuit-making family. I was very pleased with myself when I worked out "where have I seen him?" before having to resort to IMDb.

That Midsomer biscuit factory definitely looked like the jam/pickle/chutney/whatever factory which featured in a previous episode.

It's more a case of "which episode were they in before?" "Where they the murderer last time?"

To be honest, it did look pretty cool, with all the print ink on him.

Barnaby's sidekick Nelson is arguably one of the nicest looking men on the TV along with Damien Molony from Suspects.

My other half always (I know he not in it now) but she had the biggest crush on Jones

Indeed - he has great cheekbones. I also think Neil Dudgeon's a little (and I stress little) bit on the dishy side too for an older man.

I know - it must have taken the make-up artists ages to create the printed words on the actor

Totally unbelievable, or was that one hell of a 3D printing press

Not seen tonights episode yet - so have not read any previous posts!

Just saying that I am loving the new series - I thought it wouldn't be the same without John 'Bergerac' Nettles and Ben! But John and Charlie are doing great in this new series - I love that Gwilym!! But I also love 'Sykes' the dog!! He's the co-star!!

Completely had the wrong person down as the murderer! though I should have spotted the right clues.

Agree with both, Gwilym always reminds me of the guy out the Wrong Mans (not James Cordon!) Sykes is the best though!

I watched it. I love Midsomer, always have. I am a massive fan of Sykes the dog and Im glad he finally got his walk at the end.

I didn't think it would be the same when John Nettles left and then Jones - but I love it.

I think anyone who watches Midsomer Murders hoping for a fact-based drama series is probably watching the wrong show, though.

One of the highlights for me is always the brilliantly inventive ways they come up with for murdering people.

Last night's episode was very enjoyable, I thought. Didn't see the twist coming at all.

Barnaby's sidekick Nelson is arguably one of the nicest looking men on the TV
This definitely helped with the enjoyment.

One of the scruffiest, I wish he would tidy himself up a bit.
