Love Midsomer Murders but it's Sunday television for me, as it always was growing up.

This series is off to a better start than the previous one. Last night's episode was pretty good.

I didn't see them tie up the ends with Desai, ie, the buying of the property. Did I blink and miss it?

That's hardly a problem, just watch it on Sunday.
Those that say it's silly are spot on, but it always has been and I think that's part of it's charm. Good episode last night. |

Being picky:-
I would have thought Chief Inspector John Barnaby would have twigged that it was Sykes that was moving Pink Ted before having to wait for Kam to tell him. Then after telling him is was covered in dog saliva and DNA did they give it back to baby???? ![]() In the final scenes a the cliff edge, Archie Glenbogle(Felix) was almost half way down when you saw him from a distance earlier. Then his sister went over to save him he was only just over the edge. Then at one stage the edge of the cliff was clear then later there were bushes growing along it. Finally I fail to see how a minor Midsomer village could support it's own undertaker, unless of course he picks up all the murders in the area. Overall I thought it was poor episode. I hope the rest of the series are better. Nice to see Sergeant Pushkar, AKA Skoda, from New Tricks back as Sonny. |

Pity they haven't got rid of the irritating and irrelevant dog.
Adds nothing to the program other than boredom. |

I had long since given up on this, after trying to watch it several times over recent seasons and turning off after less than half an hour.
However I decided to give it another go and was pleasantly surprised. I thought that this episode was just about as good as this sort of programme can be. Was the new doctor auditioning for Blue Peter? |

It was different - not your usual whodunnit - but I quite enjoyed it.
Not keen on Kam so far _ a little "perky" and self satisfied - & Patrick H - I do like your Blue Peter comparison. Still have to wind through any scenes with Mrs Barnaby (& hope I'm not missing anything relevant) but did tolerate her for two minutes last night for the news on Ben and Kate. All in all good to have some new episodes |

Trying not to give spoilers, but can't work out the system.
I enjoyed it. Spent nearly the whole episode trying to work out where I'd seen Felix before. Cracked the case of the missing teddy by first adverts, but was thrown from the culprit by the event at the tree. Should have remembered the recent Christie serial! |

Agree missing Pink Ted was hardly a mystery! |

Was this the worst episode ever of Midsomer Murders? I got to about 40 mins and thought I must be at 1 hour 50 by now.

No, the not-murder bit ended with Felix's confession to mad bloke, then it went to Kam and Nelson of the unfeasibly large head going round to the Barnabys' house and the mystery of the pink, dog saliva infested, teddy being solved.
![]() I actually thought this was quite a good episode for MM. It usually makes me groan at the dénouement, but this seemed reasonably logical. Am I losing my marbles, or is it that the rest of the stuff on telly is even worse? |

The dog is fine and is onscreen for a total of about 2 minutes.

Interesting episode with no murder during the programme.
Great to see Sykes getting a bit more attention! |

Great to see Sykes getting a bit more attention! Although it does beg the question of Barnaby's detection skills that if there are only 2 adults and a dog in the house and the humans didn't move Pink Teddy why didn't he slap the cuffs on the dog straight away?. |

New Dr Girly is quite annoying with definite overtones of "stupid men where would they be without me?" poor effort for something that's been kicking about so long now you'd think it would be difficult to get wrong! |
