Afraid still same wooden actress who plays the coroner who in new series went to same school as paddy and played golf together jesus

I was hoping she had left. Awful acting and within one sentence she had put the new bloke down .. "No! it was 6 years ago"

As for Winter starting up that tank ... Really!!

What a vivid imagination you have. Can't help feeling it would pay to concentrate more on the actual script though. They weren't at school together. They were on the same police course for a short period.
And she isn't a coroner. And he is a dog.

I dunno, in this day and age anything is possible.

There's probably a YouTube video about it, as there is for everything else.

I haven't, but try looking up; "How to hot-wire a tank."

He didn't need it. It had already been hot wired. All he needed to do was to re-establish contact of the wires. Easily done when you're clodhopping around in a confined space.

And in a crime scene. I know this is meant to be part comedy, or so I have been told, but that was just stupid.

Clodhopping Not heard that for years.

Kam did say that it had been given the forensic workover before it was moved so not actually a live crime scene anymore. And you know what boys are like around toys!

I always spend far too much time spotting familiar faces in MM and then thinking about what else I've seen them in.

Enjoyable though, if a bit bonkers.
so that was one Commissioner from New Tricks

a superintendent from Scott and Bailey

and a WPC from the Bill

plus a travelling comedian for hire

did I miss anyone?

So true

I was hoping it was going to shoot forward and run Kam over

Wow that synopsis nearly gives away the whole episode!

Quite a few actually. Of course, for the real fans, the game is spotting the ones that have been in one or more episodes in previous series as entirely different characters. This was Caroline Blakiston's third.

Watched the new episode last night and generally found it to be an enjoyable way of spending an hour and a half. I hadn't read the reports of Sykes being written out, but Barnaby ending up adopting the new dog was all rather predictable. A slight question mark did go "ping" in my mind at the scenes of the dog and the small child being allowed to play together.

I want to say something about the culprit, but will use spoiler tags just in case.

It was an ok watch, Cam is wooden as anything and it feels like she is reading her lines from a card hidden somewhere , not sure about the news DS time will tell.

Paddy, the dog is really smart, but I don't think he went to school

But I agree, the coroner or whatever she is, is dreadful. Nobody likes a rude show off and a know-it-all.
Unless they want the audience to dislike her, I have no idea why she is written this way.

And on a more shallow note, her underbite annoys me..

I am scared to death by any dog, small or large, so none of my children would have been allowed anywhere near a strange dog,

But maybe it's different for a dog lover?

Mrs Blakiston is lovely and a fantastic actress. To me, she has looked the same the last thirty years. But now, she suddenly looks her age. Nothing wrong with that, on the contrary, I think the likes of her, Judy Parfitt, Judi Dench and Honor Blackman shows you can be old and beautiful without surgery.

Maybe you weren't concentrated enough when watching and reading, but Paddy is the dog. He did not go to school, that is correct. But he also did not attend the police course.

That course was strictly non-canine.

Woof!

I think this is more "afternoon telly" as was "The Coroner," and "Dr. Blake."

The plot was ludicrous, as if the MOD would have held on to a village in a rural area surrounded by all the other "Midsomers," for seventy years. The strategically placed ammunition boxes and jerry cans reminded me of the props used in Strictly Come Dancing.
Still it was harmless entertainment,...of a sort.

Neil Dudgeon should get back to chauffeuring, the limit of his acting capabilities.
Ok, now I have to pop the dvd of Mrs Bradleys Mysteries in the player.
Diana Rigg is wonderful!

According to imdb, a woman named Jo Wheatley is in several of the latest episodes, playing different parts. Neighbour, bystander, woman in church etc.

She has a large trivia page, written by herself.

Is it normal for extras to be in so many episodes, and to have an imdb page?
I have never noticed her before, and even after looking for her face in the latest episode, I didn't see her.

The reason I noticed her name now, is that she is the only one in the cast list for the next episodes. (Although, by now, I gather that the cast list is filled up)

Ok, she is in every single episode this series. As a cricket spectator, villager, pub goer, neighbourhood watch and so forth. She must be married to the producer. Why else would they have the same extra in every episode?

Because they're there? Why would you go to all the trouble of getting a whole load of different extras for every episode when they're going to go unnoticed and unremarked upon. It's entirely normal for extras to appear in several episodes of something not least because scenes are often shot out of sequence not just within an episode but across a series. If you're shooting a particular location you get it all out of the way in one session. You don't keep popping back. So you use the extras you've got on the day. A friend of mine from Oxford student days appears in 3 different episodes of Morse, for example, out of a single day's shooting.
