My theory:

Spoiler

Will now watch to see everything work out the complete opposite to what I just said, that's the way things usually go.

Oops, I forgot Cully was there too, easily done

So did New Mr Barnaby turn up on his own then at the do
Yes I think so. Here's the cast for the episode, no mention of Barnaby's wife.

As far as I remember, the first 7 people in the cast were at the party.

Beth Goddard was a real hottie some years back.

Edward Fox in Midsomer ! and looking rather similar to the driver of the fire engine in Trumpton.

What do you mean 'WAS'????

And they can't even get that right or even look reasonably convincing.

Thanks again, I've just been looking on YouTube and going through the old thread. I hereby take your word for it, I must have seen her picture beforehand hence why she appeared 'familiar' to me

Lizzilouise I think you may be right.

They've even done that murder by falling papers before - or was it books?!

Shouldn't this revelation be conducted in private?

There must be a Roladex of Rascals somewhere, casting directors give it a spin and pick a slack handful.
On the back of this, I've just had a look in IMDB. There are dozens of people who have appeared as 2 different characters, a select few who have appeared as 3 characters, and, Caroline Lintott who has appeared as 4 different characters.

I quite like the new Mrs Barnaby. It looks like they could be a fun pair of characters.
she used to be in heartbeat played the solicitor & got married to the local bobby at the time mike bradley

odd lighting on the set, now. Barnaby looks like he is acting in front of a screen.

Why when there's a dotty old man does he always turn out to be an army explosives expert?

Midsomer Murders' murders are always like that though, Very stylish, but never believable. Its like being attacked by zombies. Everything is in slow motion. Any sensible persion would just step out of the way, but no, they just wait to be killed.
