I would just try it using the HDMI sound to TV and it's speakers to see if that works okay.

One question / thought...

Your signal levels / signal quality is better than average for this box.

Do you have an extra large dish or some signal boosting device / communal dish?

Other than trying another TV I suspect you need to talk to Samsung or your retailer about getting the box looked at or replaced

Phoned Samsung today regarding the "freezing clock" problem I have had with my unit since day of purchase. They said they are aware of this problem affecting a small number of units, and are working on a solution.
It is nice to find customer services who are willing to help.

Hi All,

I have noticed tonight on a number of channels (e4 and c4) I can see a strange vertical line at the bottom of the screen, looks black, green and red. Any ideas?

Cheers

Overscanning turned off? Check the Aspect Ratio setting on your TV.

Good old Argos

That would seem to be a Freeview+HD and 3D Blu-Ray Player

I notice on ITV's support page for the ITV player

http://www.itv.com/help/itvplayervid...s/default.html

There is no mention of our box at all... hopefully just an error...

I don't think it is. It says support for Samsung freesat HD is coming soon.

Listed under the tv subcategory not stb though. The samsung TVs already have a huge extra set of online features that aren't on the freesat stb.

I don't think the Echostar is listed either. Maybe it's not a very up to date or accurate list.

Does anyone know of any codes to get into the ITV player albeit the Humax tested only version? Similar to the beta test codes from channel 999?

This used to load it...

http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/index.p...-code-released

But when I tried it last the application would not close properly and no actually videos were available.

Looks like Argos have corrected their website except for the "Recording Details" which are still a little wrong.

From the Argos link

•Record 2 channels at the same time.
•Record 1 channel whilst watching a previous recording.

Presumably it can also record two while watching a previous recording

By connecting two cables from your satellite dish to this PVR, you can record one channel whilst watching/recording or another; or even record two channels whilst playing back something you've previously recorded.

I've noticed that my box wants to do a software upgrade today, does anyone know if its worth doing or if there are any issues with it?

Cheers
