Double Lift - Err since when was that allowed

"I was doing the lift in training with Brianne and Nina and I just slipped and I tried to save both girls.

Err since when have i missed something double lifting has never been allowed with other skaters before so why sam. Ray and Chris were both just as good and they were never offered this opportunity. That gives him a serious clear advantage as he will have more room for lifts and tricks than Chloe and Laura. This may be a contraversial opinion but this is so blatantly being manipulated for golden boy, first they get rid of the flying because he might not cope therefore jepoardising his win. He seems to regularly be on the laatter half of the show that will gain them so much more votes. they showcased his routine by giving him longer to prepare on sunday.

This year they are choreographing their own routines instead of the flying and can incorporate other professional skaters.

Ray and Chris weren't given this opportunity because the format of the show was different and personally I'm glad about that - I don't think either of them (particularly Ray) were physically strong enough. Ray didn't need gimmicks to display his skills; his skating and performing did the talking.

As for an unfair advantage - the girls have their own strengths and the public will decide if it's style over substance.

Having said that I wish Sam the best of luck - just a little bit less than Laura.

Jane & Chris were on Daybreak today and they said that in the showcase number that each finalist will do they can use up to 4 other pros as well as their own pro in their routine

perhaps Laura and Chloe are going to be thrown from one end of the rink to the other from one pro to another to make their tricks look more spectacular

I too don't think Ray or Chris could have lifted two girls, but as you say it wasn't needed

Sam is tall and Brianne and Nina are tiny so they must have thought they could take a chance with him

If he does go ahead with it, it could come across two ways - impressive, and blow people away - or look like he's showing off

I am not a Sam fan but I don't think the showcase particularly favours Sam. If the girls are able to be lifted by 2 male pros simultaneously then they can probably do some spectacular lifts too. The judges said in the This Morning interview that the key thing is that the celerities still need to shine & stand out themselves in the big production number. Personally I think this will favour Laura as she has much more presence & personality on the Ice.

I wonder if Sam goes first this week

Why should it matter that Chris and Ray weren't given the opportunity? They aren't in the show this year, and I wish their fans would accept that and stop finding excuses to dismiss everything Sam does.
