I dropped my phone the other day, and may have overcharged it. Consequently the battery will not hold it's charge. I'd like to buy a new battery but the manual doesn't say how to open the phone to see what what type of battery it is ...
Any ideas out there?

You can't overcharge it.

If it won't hold a charge, and this just happened overnight, then dropping your 'phone may have broken something.

If it has been gradually holding less and less charge over the months/years of ownership, then that's normal. A new battery will fix that.

It takes the type of battery that was specially made for it. Look on Ebay for a genuine Nokia 1616 battery

Page 6 clearly shows how to remove the back where the battery is. (Type BL-5CB)

Eh ... so it does Apologies to dosha2009 .

Yes it happened overnight. I.ve only had the phone 6 months .

I'll see what battery it is and have a look on internet for new one.

Thanks for replies.
