The running order isn't likely to make any huge difference to the voting since it's the final & there are so few couples left. It only really makes an impact in the first half of these shows. Even then, running order can't be used to predict a result.
with adverts between each dance it can make a difference between remembering one dance from thirty minutes ago to one shown two minutes ago |

Usually the person who skates/ performs last wins...
Although Matt performed 1st on the XF and won - so goes to how it doesn't matter all that much The reason Matt still won was because his lead was already massive before the final, putting hiim on first was the last ditch attempt to get a rebecca win (wand just didn't have the votes). It nearly worked, his vote margin got worse didn't it? |

I think it does matter, especially this year when all of them have been in the bottom two. Will be interesting to see the order...

It nearly worked, his vote margin got worse didn't it? So when it comes to dancing on ice on sunday it all depends on where they open the phone lines they open the phone lines. So if they decide to go with the way they did with matt then putting laura on first will help her get votes. But whatever position they put laura on i am going to vote for her anyway because she has been the most consistent skater and she has been my favourite to win all the way through the competition. |

I think thats true too. Possibly because the order is the order of the SF voting?

I think a fair order would be:
Sam/Laura Chloe Sam/Laura |

Yeah ur right because they wanted rebeccca to win they put her on last so she would get more votes. But what they didnt realise was because they opened the phones lines at the beginning of the show they were actually helping matt.
Some people, who don't have clear favourites (as many don't on the final night - it is the floating vote) will still wait for all to perform. Or will see a good performance first or second, vote, but hold off any multiple votes/second votes until everyone has performed. So the pimp slot is the freshest in their mind when they do this, getting more votes for the pimp slot even if they enjoyed all of them. Although of course for people with a good fan base, the extra time could mean more votes as you said. Did you watch Over the Rainbow? A similar voting situation in that everyone had been in the bottom two come final night. The contestant that had been pimped above all others was, of course, given the pimp slot and won, even though voting opened early. However, I'm not sure that DOI care as much about who wins compared to the Lloyd Webber shows/ X Factor...? |

The fairest order is:
Laura/Sam Sam/Laura Chloe/Laura Although Laura hasnt been last since Week 7, she hasnt been FIRST since Week 6, so surely she should be first? Then Sam was last last week, so he shouldnt be last this week. Chloe was 1st this week, so she should be last this week? I'm just confusing myself! ![]() The order should be: 1st: Laura 2nd: Sam 3rd: Chloe

Chloe skated first last week and Sam the week before, with Laura being second to last last week and middle the week before.
So it's Queen Laura's turn to be first. I'd like to see how the Laura fans can argue that's it would be unfair for her to be first though. Go on. ![]() It doesn't matter what order they performed in the week before - it certainly didn't stop them putting Kerry, Sam and Johnson on at the end every week, anyway. If you work out the averages between these three contestants, Sam's WAY above average whilst for Laura and Chloe there is nothing in it. My order would be Sam > Laura > Chloe only because of what the averages are (Chloe's the lowest). That to me is fair and the averages are what they should base it on every week instead of giving the same people the best slots. As for "Queen" Laura, she's not "Queen" when it comes to the performance order. Like I said, her and Chloe's averages are near enough the same and they both only just top Jeff! Jeff's performance orders were shockily bad. 7, 7, 3, 2, 1, 4, 2, 2, 4 ![]() Chloe's order hasn't been much better, either. When Laura gets a late slot, she usually then has two weeks of early slots and then another late one. Chloe's seem to always range from early slot to middle slot so for that reason, she should perform last on the final night. I will still be voting for Laura, though ![]() And yes, I've studied the performance orders

It might be Laura's 'turn' to perform first as she hasn't since top 7 week but she is the one who hasn't had the last spot for the longest as well.
That said, Chloe has opened the show three times and performed last twice..she deserves to perform 2nd in my opinion.

True I suppose. Sam will be on 2nd they won't have both girls on in a row. I thought Laura should go first as Chloe has opened the show 3 times including last week where as Laura's only opened it once but then Sam has opened the show once but been on last or 2nd last tons of times so logically he should go first but Laura probobaly will so it goes girl, boy, girl.
Apparently Sam's going first according to a twitter from Brianne

I think that will be the order aswell! laura probably has the most potential to give that show stopping performance so will want to save it till last imo!
but hey what do i know! Sam Laura Then Chloe Think they are trying to push chloe for a win as sheis the underdog. Giving them all equal chances. |
