the toothbrush poem
Texting, how the youth rush
Joyfully or fraught,
Giving to the toothbrush
Hardly any thought.
We take them for granted,
Firmly in the mouth
Every morning planted
Scrubbing north and south.
Purple, plastic, shiny
Mine is rarely seen,
It's not big or tiny
And my spare one's green.
Like a soft breeze whistles,
Like the Fonz so cool,
Straight and full of bristles
Is this little tool.
Rather than the Channel
UK breaks I've backed
With the soap and flannel
And the toothbrush packed.
While there is no dull date
Loving seaside views,
What good is the Colgate
With no brush to use?
Cleaning teeth together
We could make the news,
Let's cheer on forever
Toothbrushes we use!
