Taylor Swift at Abbey Road Studio on BBC red button now
Taylors Abbey road gig is on the red button on BBC1 at the moment.
Its a semi-acoustic gig, its "plugged in" but a little lighter and a lot shorter than her normal arena gig. BBC in all their wisdom have not put up the full gig (or all of the between songs chatting) but there are 7 tracks to enjoy. Its currently looping all 7 songs. |

I'm a fan of her music, but have never been too fussed about her as a singer, but I thought she sounded great on this.

Re Taylors voice... Some always use Taylors voice as a way to try to divert away from her talent but her voice is just a small part of what she is as an artist and to be honest if her voice was perfect her songs would not sound the same. Some artists are just one dimensional and can only bring a good voice to the table, its these artists whose should worry about their voices not Taylor. I don’t think many would disagree that Karen Carpenter is the greatest female voice to have ever graced this planet, all female voices when compared to Karen’s sound ordinary . Amazed at the range of people at the show tonight, from kids through to old folk, big smiles all around, Taylor and her band are now gonna have a good rest before taking their homeland by storm. 7 massive stadium gigs plus tons of arena shows. Here is a great shot of a packed O2 taken by taylor from the stage tonight, http://yfrog.com/h4m4otyj |

They took a chance on her, while other labels wanted her to continue writing for other nashville artists and to see what happens, Scott Borchetta has got very rich on taking a chance on taylor swift.

Taylor’s voice sounded brilliant at the O2 tonight, she hardly put a note wrong. Show was amazing, she rocked London to the bone big time, even better then Birmingham, no wonder she is selling out 70,000 seater stadiums in the US. Some of her songs was so loud and powerful you could feel the floor vibrating, amazing feeling. The O2 is fantastic when completly full and rocking out, great acoustics there.

Looks like the country pop UK onslaught is definately beginning despite your resistance to it & not knowing when you actually are listening to it (like most of the UK public)
![]() Well, with your incredibly loose theory as to who is 'country', I'm surprised you haven't included Arctic Monkeys and Megadeth in there yet.

I completely agree with you. I don't think you did, but I hope you didn't take my comment as a dig at Taylor's voice. I love Taylor.
Some artists have nothing more to give then a voice, thankfully Taylor is well beyond that and thats why I like her. |

Of course not, I understood exactly what you meant, I doubt any taylor fan would brag that Taylor is the best singer in the world because she is not, as i said above if her voice was perfect her songs would not sound the same, I love her voice as it is, she has so many "strings on her bow" her voice good or bad is only a small part of her talent.
