Two very attractive women in the final of a UK Reality Show very unusual
I dont watch DOI regularly but I do know the judges scores are factored in the end result.
This is a very good idea that other reality shows should learn from particularly X-Factor, as it helps towards getting the best people to the final This has avoided lots of "fit" males getting to finals as the norm in the UK. No problem with Sam being in final either as he is very good. All in all the three deserved and most talented finalists |

I may be opening up a can of worms here but it also helps that both Chloe & Laura are partnered by extremely fit males
![]() In a lot of these type of reality shows voting can also be influenced by the professional partner although saying that it's also worked out that both girls (and Sam) are good skaters and all three are attractive

Do you have some examples of where brilliant (and good looking) females have lost out based on their looks rather than ability?

Both gorgeous girls no doubt slightly helped by both being terrific on ice and very likeable?

Think we are forgetting Natalie Lowe and Ola Jordan who respectively were Ricky Whittle and Chris Hollins's partners. They are every bit of tasty to a T.
![]() Btw it was in SCD2009.

So only fit men win DOI or get into the finale?? Have you watched the last few finals of Dancing on Ice? Even in Strictly we had two females and one men in the final.
I think there are a lot of factors at play, this is a bit too simplistic. Well done though for calling them both attractive, looking at some of the other threads where SOME of the Laura and Chloe supporters are rather nasty about either girl's looks, it's refreshing to see people who find them both attractive. |

I think voting for the fit bloke is less of an issue on programmes like DOI and Strictly than it is with X Factor. I have no idea what age the voters are but imagine there are less votes coming in from slightly older viewers.
I always feel sorry for girls on shows like X Factor as loads of really good singers have lost out to much weaker boys. But ultimately common sense seems to prevail as I don't think we've had an X Factor winner whose victory was down to looks - they tend to fizzle out in the runner up slots. I'm surprised and pleased by Chloe and Laura's success in the competition. Chloe in particular had a mountain to climb at the start with preconceptions about her based on her claim to fame. From being in the bottom two in her first week Laura's done brilliantly as well. They seem like two very likeable girls - naturally attractive as well so stunning but not unattainable beauty. Is Sam there because he's (allegedly) good looking? I don't think so, as his skating is great. |

So the OP doesn't have any examples of beautiful celebrities missing out because of their looks and jealous women not wanting to vote for them.

Laura White - Week 5 - to every male remaining. Diana Vickers - Week 9 - to Eoghan & JLS. The X Factor (Series 6): Every female that went out of the competition before Olly & Lloyd. The X Factor (Series 7): Every female who went out over One Direction.

I do think the voting public are a totally different audience when it comes to DOI compared to Big Brother/X Factor. X Factor voting shows Eoghan Quigg topping 6/10 weeks with well over 20% most weeks. Series 7, Matt Cardle topped 9/10 weeks. I don't think there's any women out there who watch a reality tv show and think "she's stunning and is talented at singing/skating/dancing/sitting in an house/jungle I'm voting for the fit male instead who can't sing/skate/dance/sit in a house/jungle."But teenage girls are a different matter and the X Factor is widely aimed at them so, of course, the pretty boys will be voted for over a talented female artist. When it comes to DOI, though, I don't think many teenage girls are that interested in the show, and if they are, I don't think many will bother to vote and instead save it for the next series of X Factor. That's why I think we always get the most talented skaters into the final - and, of course, the panel leaderboard helps, too. |

Are they very attractive? I don't wish to be mean but, honestly, while they are by no means ugly, they are no great beauties, I would have thought.

The OP didn't say anything about jealous women. ![]() And I think it's a bit odd that someone pointed out the post number of the examples as if I had ignored it - it had been posted after I asked my question! |

I'm not going to be as harsh as the "specsavers" comment, but Chloe isn't that attractive in my opinion, Laura is beautiful though (and I wouldn't say no to Sam myself
).
