- Fixes an occasional graphics glitch on iPod touch (4th generation)
- Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks
- Fixes image flicker when using Apple Digital AV Adapter with some TVs
- Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services

iOS 4.3.1 is available for the GSM iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and the third- and fourth-generation iPod touch. No update is available for the CDMA iPhone running on Verizon.

Earlier this week, a report surfaced claiming that iOS 4.3.1 would be released with 1-2 weeks, and a follow-up report had suggested that the release might address some battery life issues reported with iOS 4.3, although that has yet to be confirmed.

It's nearly a 600MB download via iTunes.

The new firmware contains only two notable tweaks: new baseband code for the iPad and iPhone 3GS, and "fixed iPad 2 jailbreak vulnerability".

Sometimes happens to me too. Clicking in one of the other boxes and then clicking back into the box I wanted to type in normally fixes it

Basically it's something jailbreakers do so that they can roll back software version at anytime.

When you use iTunes to update the firmware on your iPhone, it checks with Apple to make sure that the firmware has been signed. If it hasn't been signed, iTunes won't let you install the firmware.

Once Apple has released a new firmware, it stops signing the previous version, preventing people from downgrading to the old one.

However, if you have saved your "SHSH blobs", you can still downgrade, by using something to make iTunes think that the firmware version you want to install has actually been signed still.

Jailbreakers can use Cydia, but you do not need a Jailbroken iPhone to be able to save your "SHSH blobs" & downgrade the firmware.

People without Jailbroken iPhones can use TinyUmbrella to save their "SHSH blobs" and trick iTunes into thinking that an older firmware has still been signed by Apple, enabling a downgrade.

The untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 is out!

http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/4332...of-pwnage-tool

http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=14561

http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=14562

Supports all iOS devices which support iOS4.3.1, except for the iPad 2.

[Brief reminder: Although still a "grey area" here, Jailbreaking is 100% legal in the US. USA Today || Bloomberg ]
