I am thinking of getting a new TV. I quite like Sony as I have always liekd their styling. However, I dont understand their numbering system for their models.

I know that there are 4 types: Network, Signature, Cinematic and Essential. But what do the numbers after the letter prefix mean?

Is their a logic behind them EG 40EX403, 40EX503

thanks in advance

Basically the higher the number, the better the model, so 400 series are the base model, 500 series the next series up etc.
