Vodafone payg phone not registering?
Today i bought a Nokia 5230 on Vodafone PAYG.
Everytime i try to register online i get the security code by text bit done but then the following comes up and i can't go any further because it won't accept my DOB, says its "Invalid" and i don't have a PIN because its a new sim!! http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/4421/vodafonezp.jpg |

I had the same problem two weeks ago,and like you I just couldn't make any headway on the vodafone website. Both my DOB and pin number were listed as invalid, so I call the vodafone helpline. and was informed that my sim number was already registered!... after some "gentle persuasion" I convinced their guy that I had literally only just opened the packaging on the sim, which came with a new payg samsung europa. They reset the sim registry and told me to try the website again, after waiting for 15 minutes for the details to reset. I went back to the website and registered with no problems.
I suspect it was a glitch on the site, which jumped a stage in the registration process and logged the DOB and pin as all zeros. Just call them on the number provided on the website (call from a landline, using your mobile will cost you 25 pence to connect) explain that the details registered are not correct, and follow the instructions that they give you. It seems Vodafone have sorted this "bug" in the system, the normal page showed up when i tried again earlier today
