SAM and Brianne's "showcase" dance will be to Footloose.

The ice will be transformed into a US high school with desks and lockers.

Sam - wearing a leather jacket and jeans - will emulate Kevin Bacon's character from the 1984 film about a town where rock music and dancing is banned.

He will skate alone before being joined by Brianne and four other pro skaters.




LAURA and Colin will skate to Madonna's Express Yourself tomorrow.

Pro skaters Sylvain and Mark will play mechanics in boiler suits. Laura will take the Madonna role dressed as a businesswoman joined by professional skaters Maria and Isabelle.

The men will "weld" with tools on ice complete with pyrotechnics. Laura is attempting the "crucifix lift" with all the boys supporting her.



CLEVER Chloe Madeley will try to snare the Dancing on Ice crown by skating to the Glee version of Dirty Dancing's Time Of Your Life.


Dressed like 'Baby' from the hit flick, the 23-year-old will use signature moves from the film - including the famous lift - with her partner Michael Zenezini.


Pro skaters Alex, Lukasz, Jodeyne and Sean will also join in the routine.

I love Dirty Dancing, I think it's the best out of the three song choices.

Hmm on balance I guess..... but it depends on the sector of the audience you appeal to. I think a lot of people who love the show will be fans of Madonna too and I think Laura might have a more edgy performance. All the 80s song choices are good and I think we can look forward to some outstanding performances from all.

Sam's is very fast

All the music is good although there may be lots of people who would prefer the original version of Dirty Dancing rather than the Glee version.

Does anyone know which other pros Sam is using? Nina is one of them as she was one of the pros he dropped along with Brianne when he fell earlier in the week. By my reckoning the other pros available are Matt, Dan, Frankie & Katie. If they're only allowed to use 4 others then feel a bit sorry for the pro that misses out. Good job he isn't using Alex & Luk as those who went to the tour or got the DVD will be reminded even more of their fab routine.

Really looking forward to the showcases - think this will be so much better than the flying.

Especially looking forward to Laura's, I love a bit of Madonna. I can see her getting into the part really well.

I think Chloe's song is the best choice, it'll captivate the audience the most, plus it'll be great for lots of amazing lifts etc. for her to pull off with Michael.

I'm a big Chloe fan but I would prefer them to have used the orginal version and not the Glee one .... as I can't stand Glee ... way too twee for me ... but perhaps it will appeal to da kidzzzzzz

personally I think that Sam and Laura have more scope for a flashier (no pun intended ) more showy routine which may capture more of the casual votes


but al three should be good routines to watch

At this point I'm sick of seeing Dirty Dancing routines on various dance shows, but it should get the audience going. Sounds like they'll be a lot of fun, I'm glad they dropped the flying for this.

Hopefully the routines will surpass the unimaginative music chosen for all three routines. I actually groaned out load when I read Chloe had been given "Time of my life" (hot on the heels of Pamela S, who danced to it in the Strictly final), but the other two arent much better

Can I just ask why the article mentions Sam and Brianne and Laura and Colin's names together but for Chloe says 'clever Chloe Madeley'? Is it The Sun's favouritism of Chloe or have her parents paid them to write that?

(Btw, this is meant as no disrespect to Chloe or her fans, I actually like her as a contestant)
