Bandit likes sleeping half way up the stairs. So the landing light was off and I just assumed that Bandit was asleep elsewhere and it was only when I stepped on her I found out she was asleep on the stairs in the usual spot.

Have to make the peace somehow.

Tbf i have stepped on my cat once. I never put the stairs light on and always walk up in the dark, had no idea my cat was there and put the full weight of my foot on her and nearly split her in two
