Hope someone can help! When backing up my iphone on i tunes, it asked me to install an update for the phone, which i did, but after it completed it had wiped all my contacts. Does anyone know how I can get them back on my phone without having to install them all manually?

did you save them as a . CSV file ?

if you have windows live mail/ outlook you can in itunes SYNC with windows by right clicking your phone on left hand panel

next time save your contacts by doing this

Do you not have a previous backup you can restore?

Restore from a backup iTunes created before it did the update.

You can also enable contact sync in iTunes, which will backup all contacts to your PC/Mac every time you sync.

Even better, use Google sync (free) in future to keep an up to the minute backup of all emails, contacts and calendars in the cloud.
