Anyone remember Honeyz?
I used to love them when I was younger.
![]() "Never Let You Down" - http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x34...you-down_music "Finally Found" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt8nR4MIPMQ "I Don't Know" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaeMxq3l_9c They had some more classics too, like "Won't Take It Lying Down" and "Love Of A Lifetime". I couldn't keep up with them though - they were worse than Destiny's Child & Sugababes with the member changes. Funnily enough, one of the replacement girls reminded me of Amelle.

I remember them well and was listening to "End of the Line" the other day when I decided to give my copy of Now 42 a play - it had some very good singles on it. They sang well and had good writers and producers. I think the singles stand up very well against a lot of the mainstream British contemporary R&B from the past year.

I loved 'Love of a Lifetime' and 'Finally Found'.
From what I can remember, 1 girl left and was replaced. When the replacement then left the original returned. |

I have their debut album. I haven't listened to it in years but I saw it in the rack the other day when I was re-aranging my CDs.

I loved their album Wonder Number 8. I always thought it was funny too that both Honeyz and Another Level had the exact same song on their albums - "Summertime". Actually, Another Level released their version as a single.

I'm pretty sure one of the girls was on a buzzcocks line up a series or two back. I watched the repeat the other week.

Finally Found, Won't Take It Lying Down, and End of the Line are fab songs. I've got the album Wonder No. 8 and still play it quite a bit. Their music has stood the test of time really well.
They were almost as good as Eternal in my opinion but never got fair recognition, and I could never understand why. Shame the group just didn't work out for whatever reason. |

I love them, I have their songs on a few playlists on my iPod so they randomly get a play at least once a week.
Adore pop music from around that time (Now 42 as previously mentioned is a great compilation) Reminds me of my youth, but a fair few tracks from back then would do well and sound fresh now, which can't be said for some of the mid-00s stuff that certainly wouldn't sound fresh now. |

I was watching an interview with them and the guy asked what their dream was & one girl replied "to marry ex soap stars and have babies". Ouch. I didn't understand that comment until you just said she left to be with her boyfriend who's an ex soap star, lol.
But yeah, I think they could have done more. The majority of their singles charted well and even the ones that didn't do well were still good songs. |

I loved them at the time but listening to it now they are SO boring. No personality to thier songs.
Bringing Heavenli back (and waiting 3 years between albums) was stupid. They left 7 months between 'Love of a lifetime' and 'Never let you down' might aswell have cracked out a 2nd album rather than adding 2 new songs that were singles and re-recording NOTHING then coming back with the most boring song ever. |

I remember them, when I first got Sky back in 2000 they brought out a song 'Won't take it lying down.' I think it was one their last. Did they not keep changing members in the group?

I may have to step out of this discussion before I embarrass myself any further.
