Children's songs you remember
Not sure if this should be in here or the Music forum but I'll post it here. It's inspired by the "songs you remember from school assembly" thread.
I remember a few as I used to have all the tapes of kids' songs: I'm a Pink Toothbrush The Hokey Pokey Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star The Wheels on the Bus Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes Alphabet Song Mary Had a Little Lamb Frere Jacques Alouette I can sing a rainbow (or is this more of a hymn than a kids song? I just happen to remember it) Which children's songs do you remember?

Out of those ones I know Lord of the Dance but strangely enough I never heard of the others. I was a 90s kid though.

Superman (some funny song we all used to dance to at kids parties where you had to do mad actions like 'sound the horn' and 'ski'!)

I was looking for some of these when I was contributing to a thread about Charlie Drake. My era was late 50's/early 60's and there used to be a radio programme called 'Childrens Favorites'. This website mentions loads of the songs from that era and if you can be bothered to click on the Amazon links you'll find some more.

I was at primary school in the early 70's and we had a regular class (which I think was called musical movement) where we listened to either tapes or a radio programme. Anyhow, one of the songs on there was called the Chocker (sp) Box. I have always remembered some of the words but have never been able to find it. (well, I've only googled!)
No-one else can remember it - does it mean anything to anyone on here? This is the Chocker Box Filled with memories evergreen Open up the chocker box See the good times that have been Hey ho the rain and snow See the good times that have passed So open up the chocker box Just turn the locks Return the clocks And *something something* to the past

Cauliflowers fluffy and cabbages green,
Strawberries sweeter than any I’ve seen. Beetroot purple and onions white, All grow steadily day and night. The apples are ripe, and the plums are red, The broadbeans are sleeping in the blankety bed. Love it!
