The problem is that it's not as successful on women. Women usually suffer from what they call diffuse thinning which means it's all over. Surgeons cannot get a good strip of hair to take that they are confident won't fall out later - Sadly really only women who have "male pattern" baldness and not "female pattern" baldness will benefit from this. Plus, as you said, there's a cost!
