Does It Really Matter Who Wins.

I dont think it does matter who wins because at the end of the day you are only going to get trophy. Yeah it would nice to win but you dont do anything afterwards. The only programme where it does matter is the X factor.

I think they get far more competitive about who wins on tour than on TV!

I agree and that is why I wasn't too unhappy that Sam won even though I supported Laura. Some of them might land a better job on TV but I don't think you need to win to do that. Just upping your profile by being on the programme helps a lot.

I don't think it matters much who wins, and I wouldn't have minded any of the three finalists winning.

It matters more who gets to the final and who gets to dance Bolero, because that means we get to see those routines.

(We get to see the 3rd place Bolero, but only a practice or rehearsal version.)

I think the opposite actually - I think the tour is the time where they relax more & just have fun. I'm not saying they aren't competitive at all but I still think the TV show is the bigger deal in terms of winning.

Even though Chris has won the overall tour twice & also Bonnie winning the 1st tour, I'm sure they would both swap these for the TV series victory in a flash. Equally I am sure Kyran, Suzanne & Hayley wouldn't swap their victories on the TV show for the overall tour win.

II would agree that winning the show carres more weight that winning on tour as the TV show is what the majority of people watch and gets the most media coverage

Apart from having the trophy and the title I don't think there are anymore advantages to winning, as long as you remain on the show for a number of weeks I would think that you get the exposure you're aiming for for whatever reason, (public profile, job opportunities, charity etc)

but I also agree that obviously it's good to be in the last two so that you can skate your Bolero

It doesn't matter who wins just a nice achievement to reach the final after putting in so many hours training.
I suppose it can help the old image if you want to show off down your local skating rink

As others have said I'm sure any positive exposure can help the career in the eyes of tv execs. I was delighted Chloe was positively viewed by the public as R&J have always been my favourite interviewers on tv and Chloe seems a very nice person.

Yeah I totally agree with you regarding Chloe. I thought I wouldnt like her but I thought she was nice and not at all how I imagined her to be

I suppose it's just nice to say you're the champion after all those months of competition, the recognition of it. Also the winner gets more press etc.
Also agree that they consider the tour fun and not really a competition, they try out all sorts of things for a laugh and aren't really bothered who wins. Chris n Bonnie would give tour wins for DOI trophy in second, they wouldn't even have to think about it.
