Hi all

I use sometimes the Blackberry (9780 Bold) voice notes feature.

When I check the Voice Notes lists I notice that they are saved fine still, but the wrong time is now showing against each new recorded message in the list. They are exactly 1hr behind "real time" - I guess something to do with the clocks going forward? They were fine before this.. So if I record a note at 4pm it shows as being recorded at 3pm. When I click on "properties" it says Audio file created at the correct time (NOT showing in the list) but "modified" at the 1hr earlier time showing in the list!!

The phone time (on the home screen) is correct. Text messages come through with the correct time etc...

Does anyone have any ideas how I can correct this on voice notes so that they have the correct time on them? I would have thought that the phone took all it's tasks from the "main" time displayed on the phone?

It's set to "Automatic" update and GMT London, Dublin....Cannot see anything for BST?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help!

Cheers

.....sorry, just to add further to this....

I've played about with every setting I can think of and still cannot change the times on the voice recorder files list...

Can anyone who has this phone kindly test this out for me?

i.e - record a quick voice note - then check it in the voice notes section within the "media" folder and tell me if your file has the time 1 hour behind?

Ok - it's not exactly a big deal....but I am intrigued as to where the phone is getting this 1 hour delayed time from, considering the phone's time is set correctly?

Thank you for any help!

Does it on the 9700 aswell.

Can't say I've ever recorded anything on it let alone notice such a minor detail lol.

Lol! Yeah, it is minor, only that, sometimes in my line of work I need to record something quickly, and I forget to rename the file - then when I come to find it, if I've got loads of little recordings during the same morning, sometimes it's a job to find the right one quickly....

Just gonna have to get used to renaming the file from now on then.... or wait until the clocks go back at the end of Oct!

Thanks for checking - at least it's not just my phone...

Wonder where it get's this time from? Obviously something to do with the recent clock change to BST, but don't know why it still keeps the file an hour behind...

Oh well!

No worries - I won't be losing any sleep over it lol.

Be interesting to see if it's a general thing (ie all BB's) or if it's just on the OS6 cos I recently updated my BB to OS6. Still not as bigger problem as the iPhone with their alarm clocks gooing off/not goin of lol
