Have to confess I had my doubts Ryan could possibly have enjoyed being humiliated on live TV every week by Captain Smug, which seemed to involve having his sexuality questioned, and I felt he seemed genuinely rattled last season the night he walked up to Simon's desk.

For whatever reason, I think he seems a lot happier this time round.
