SIM only Internet for dongle
I have a Three USB 3G dongle, with no SIM.
I want to buy a SIM only with 2gig of data to put in it. See below. http://threestore.three.co.uk/simonly.aspx Yet the Three shop says I can not use a sim only for mobile broadband and have to take a contract with a sim and new dongle. Are they pulling a fast one? |

Three keeps its mobile broadband users separate from its phone users I believe (different APNs maybe).
Your existing dongle should have a sim inside of it no? Just use that to log on to the net and buy a data allowance. |

You can pick up pay as you go sims preloaded with data on eBay I think. The ones I've seen are in region of £45-£50 for 12GB which lasts until it runs out or for up to a year (whichever happens first)
I've got one I received yesterday as part of a prize from 3 that I was planning to sell as I don't have a dongle for it |

I own, i.e. Bought or contract expired 2 dongles and a MiFi the two dongles have mobile broadband sims originally, but I use one now in the MiFi. So I want a sim to put in the dongle that is sim-less.
Basically I want to pay for a sim monthly, that has data without paying (contract) for another dongle. Why so difficult? |

Think your going to struggle on a pay monthly. Most networks haven't grasped that anyone could have a simless dongle and would just need a sim card
Possibly the best/only solution would be to buy a dongle with a one month plan and then eBay a dongle to try and offset some of the cost |

Tell Three you had a sim in your dongle, you took it out and something happened to it (broke it, lost it, take your pic). So you want a replacement for your dongle.
It may be a case of their system isn't designed for this possibility so the call centre people can't help you. Try going to a shop? |
