Play Downloads via Humax Freesat+ Box

I often downloads vid from the net and have previously played them on TV via my dvds usb port.

The DVD is now kaput, can I play my downloads via the Humax's USB port and which file type do they need to be. I have tried and the box doesn't read anything on the usb...

You need Raydons programme AV2HDR which basically builds the support files required for the avr to playback non-native footage. Later versions also allow streaming of recorded content from the avr to a network.

It's the only way to play back non-native video. You don't need to use the network bits. The plain programme converts suitable video and creates the 3 files. These can be created on a usb stick and played back from the stick on the hdr. I use it to playback HD content recorded on a camcorder.
