I have heard that O2 + Vodafone will start sharing masts, does this mean that O2's poor 3G/HSDPA will get better?

They've been sharing the site acquisition activities for 2 years now.

Called cornerstone, when Vodafone or O2 have been upgrading sites they are also adding the other network cells to the masts, in some cases requesting further planning permission to increase the size of the masts.

There have been alot of stories recently of O2 or Vodafone masts being refused due to people in villages saying it will reduce the value of homes etc..
