My son has just moved into a house with a BT phone line installed - but not working (active?). He wants a Sky package with phone, internet and tv. Has he to get a BT fone line first and having to pay the installing fee or will Sky do this for him?? What are the costs for this? Similar to BT or cheaper?
Many thanks.

See third point in the terms and conditions for Sky Talk

http://www.sky.com/shop/terms-conditions/talk/

Details of Sky Talk Line Rental here

http://www.sky.com/shop/broadband-talk/talk-linerental/

Scroll down the "Legal" bit at the bottom and drop down the Sky Talk bit.

openreach install lines as the line is one BT's network but sky are leasing the line from them and you pay sky your line rental , if you have a fault with your line and you are with sky talk you ring sky's customer service and the will send bt out to do the required work.

wif you arrange for a fault to be fixed via sky talk yoou should always ask if you will be charged beforehand just incase BT Openrach try to charge you...
