Seeing as how there's a "Rank the Men" thread it seems only fair that there should be a "Rank the Women" thread as well

My order would be:

1. Lauren - I wouldn't have said so from the live performances but I'm loving her studio recordings on iTunes.

2. Haley – Much better than people give her credit for, I reckon.

3. Pia – lovely sound, good control, but a bit bland and I don't like the tone on her high notes

4. Thia – some of her stuff is incredibly pure and beautiful but it's not consistent

5. Naima – best for stage presence but the vocals suffer too much. Her studio recording of Umbrella was streets better than I've heard from her on the show.

1) Pia - Love her voice, just want her to let lose on a song.
2) Haley - Great performer and she really does sing sexy!
3) Lauren - Also really like Lauren, sweet voice and seems really sweet.
4) Thia - A good voice but I the way she sings a bit bland.
5) Naima - So up and down, I really like Umbrella but since then she's been a bit rough.

1. Haley - had a turn around on her, sorting out her vocals and her diction, and I do like her latest studio recording a lot.

2. Naima - I like her, she's great to watch, the vocals aren't brilliant, but I find her engaging and she keeps my attention.

3. Lauren - not that keen, and her personality is a bit off putting, but she does the country/pop princess well

4. Pia - no doubt she can sing and sing well, no doubt she's a beautiful woman, but I find her dated and bland, no real emotional connection to the song, it's all a bit by numbers

5. Thia - similar to Pia, pretty girl, pretty voice, pretty boring, very much too young and lacking in any knowledge of what her musical direction should be.

01. Haley - The best vocalist by a mile, would have LOVED to have seen her do the songs Pia has done. She'd add some character to them.
02. Thia - Bless her, she gets alot of flack but she sings well.
03. Lauren - She's alright, good voice but nothing amazing.
04. Naima - The least consistant, but when she gets it right, she's incredible.
05. Pia - She bores me to no end. Sounds like a nice girl though.

Based on the last couple of performances:

1: Lauren

1: Pia: She seems nice, best voice out of the remaining females, but very boring. Do we really need another female who only sings ballads.

2: Lauren: Bubbly personallity, but doesn't really stand out as being different.

3: Thia: Sweet, holesome and seems quite innocent. She plays safe every week with the song choices. I doubt there will be a market for her after AI.

4: Hayley Where do I start with Hayley ... she makes me feel uncomfortable to watch, trying to be "sexy" but failing miserably. Her hair is distracting, her fashion sense is appaling and her growling while singing does nothing for me. Hayley seems to be trying too hard to be something she is not.

5: Naima: I just don't get her, her style changes each week. She has proved she is unable to sing and dance at the same time, so why continue
Naime needs to find out pretty quick what kind of singer she is or she'll be out.

1 - Haley - The least generic of the bunch and her voice is undeniably hers. She probably has the best control over her voice of the girls and seems to be able to do what she wants with it.
2 - Thia - A very sweet nice tone. Very distinguishable and seems to have decent range and power.
3 - Lauren - Has a great voice that again is very distinguishable but she doesn't seem to realise the extent of the power in her voice.
4 - Pia - Has undeniable talent but her voice is quite generic i.e. if she were to come on the radio I wouldn't instantly know that it was her.
5 - Naima - She's just not that good of a singer!

1. Haley - a complete breath of fresh air amongst the predictability of the other girls. She puts every effort into her performances each week and looks as though she's enjoying herself.

2. Lauren - she has a good voice and I think if she pushes herself more she'll get better and better.

3. Naima - I enjoy watching her, she's very engaging, but her performances are hit and miss.

4. Pia - she has a nice voice but nothing particularly special and just seems to be phoning it in each week.

6. Thia - her voice has a very pure tone to it, but there's no connection from her with her songs.

1. Haley - The best female vocalist in the competition. As has been said, I would love to see her do some of the the songs Pia has done. Haley could make them sound current and interesting.
2. Thia - Beautiful voice when she's anywhere near her best.
3. Lauren - Finally, this week she started to show what she showed in auditions. I hope it's not too late.
4. Naima - The best performer by a mile but the vocals that are never great are usually inconsistent.
5. Pia - She seems like a lovely girl and looks lovely but her song choices are the only thing more boring than her lack of presence and her voice in her upper register is injurious.

1. Haley - two consistent weeks now pip Pia to the post. It's always been there vocally with Haley, but until now it was as if she was throwing too many ingredients into the 2 minute mix; bluesy yodels, raunchy rock vibe, sweet girly highs, switching in and out of these vocal effects a little too often rather than concentrating on singing the song. She needs to continue separating out these different aspects of her voice like she managed to do extremely well this week.

2. Pia - always good, but repetitious. Gilding that balladeering lily. There's a certain hard-edged overconfidence about her that even seems cocky, and above all works against any emotion and vulnerability she could convey. Only time she really shines is in the high notes, where she has that Celine sound.

3. Thia - perfect pitch, plaintive tone. But ever-smiling, she looks too sweetly innocent, as if she hasn't lived enough to know the half of what she's singing about. That can work to her advantage with the right ballad. Belongs in a revival of the musical Annie singing "the sun will come out tomorrow...."

4. Lauren - don't understand what the fuss is all about. Started off with Kelly Clarkson promise, now seems more like a second rate Jordin Sparks, complete with those upward echo inflections at the end of a lyric. She's good for 16, but not had a 'moment' yet. This week she tried to be Carrie Underwood, and failed.

5. Naima - best variety act, brings a carnival feel to Idol, but usually has ropey vocals. On voice alone she perhaps didn't deserve the wildcard, but she makes for a cheeky warm-up act.

2) Naima - Think she's just so fantastic, the fact that she actually puts her own twist on songs is much better than the rubbish covers.
3) Thia - Really interesting voice
4) Lauren - I loved her in Auditions and Hollywood Week but have been a bit underwhelmed since.
5) Haley - Never seen anything worth mentioning from her.

1. Haley - Love her voice,can't see her sticking around too long though
2. Pia - Fantastic voice, consistent, bit bland though.
3. Lauren - Great voice, hasn't peaked yet which could give her the advantage over people like Pia
4. Thia - Nice voice, bit boring and safe though.
5. Naima - Just don't like her, always puts on a performance though, vocals are consistently weak IMO

I don't know, she hit bottom 3 early, but if she avoids it this week, as she should, she might just go further then most expect. She really improved this week and, at the moment, she's the strongest girl for me. Don't forget Syesha in Season 7 - hit bottom 3 at top 12, top 10, top 8, top 7 and top 6 and still managed to finish 3rd.

I agree that Haley could go further. Same thing happened with Allison in S8, hit the B3 twice in the first 4 weeks and then again in top 7 redux week and then went out at top 4. She had a better run than people expected.

1. Haley - my opinion keeps going up and down like a yoyo with her, but given the right song and as she grows in confidence she will really hit her stride.
2. Pia - probably the best singer in the contest, but I'm getting a little bored.
3. Thia - I still believe she has a unique style to be unleashed, but she's only 15 and probably doesn't know who she is as a person yet, nevermind who she is as a performer. I think she still needs time to grow in order to command a stage.
4. Lauren - she is really good but I feel I've seen it all before, she's almost like a walking cliche of Kelly Clarkson.
5. Naima - I don't think she ever feels comfortable on the stage, and she is desperately trying to make her mark on the competition, but it doesn't seem to be coming together for her.

1. Haley - fantastic vocals, great personality
2. Naima - not consistent, but she's the salt of the earth and loved some of her performances. Would have liked her to last a bit longer.
3. Lauren - she had a great week, both with Candle in the Wind and her duet. Plus watching her fall down the stairs was quite funny too.
4. Pia - Very nice, with often amazing vocals.
5. Thia - Never really liked her as a singer. Nice. Pretty. Dull.

First time we've disagreed on anything I think!

1. Haley - I really like her tone and enjoyed her performance this week
2. Lauren - She has a good voice, but still falls slightly short for me although she is improving.
3. Naima - Like her fierceness.
4 - Thia - I like her voice, and although she has been accused of being a plastic doll, I have enjoyed her performances more than ..
5 - Pia's who is now boring me to the extreme. She needs to let go, everything about her is measured and contrived.

1. Haley - Interesting. Good performance this week though I can't say I'm completely convinced by her yet. Want to see more though.
2. Lauren - Like her voice.
3. Pia - Probably the most talented. Consistent but also dated and slightly dull.
4. Thia - Generally meh but actually really liked her singing Daniel this week though. Think she deserved to stay.
5. Naima - Glad she has gone.

Funny you should say that cos I've just rewatched her stuff and I don't dislike her at all, I just want her to do uptempo. She's really Idol by numbers, I'd like to see her do something contemporary or uptempo, but shes beautiful and has a great voice

Yeah, she needs to do some newer stuff - I'd actually like to see her perform her pre idol songs, not that it'll ever happen.
