Mobile phones have come a long way in ten years.

My first phone was a Samsung T100. I absolutely loved the clam shell design, plus the colour screen and polyphonic ringtones. I used to show it off everywhere

Sharp GX10i
I remember David Beckham pushing this one out. The Java games were cool. It was also my first camera phone. Shame it was Vodafone only though.

Motorola RAZR
This was easily my favourite.I loved everything about it - the design, ringtones, video camera, camera, Bluetooth etc. Everyone had one, even celebrities.

Motorola E1000. very advanced phone for it's time,.

Flashed generic, and customised via seem editing. Look at the customisations that were possible!

I think my last 2 phones have been the best I've owned I had a Iphone 3G before and now I've got an Iphone 4 before them I had a few Sony Ericsson Walkman Series phones that were good for their music features but the software was buggy with them.

It's the milestones that you remember...

Philips Diga was my first phone in 1997

Loved the personalisation of coloured plastic rings for the aerial.

Had Siemens for a while the C25 and then another one in black that had a 3d maze game.

My next memmorable phone was the Nokia 5110...

Along came a big square display, snake and xpress on covers.

Then the Nokia 3210, followed by the 3310 and 3330.

Gave Sony Ericsson a whirl for a while and then...

My first camera phone was a Sagem followed by a view few Nokias.

Moved back to Sony Ericsson for their walkman range absolutely loved the w810. Had a few cybershots, had a bad run of unreliability with Sony Ericsson went to Nokia stayed with the 5230i style nokias (loved my 5230i it was like an old friend) and then....

First major touchscreen was the 5800 Nokia, followed by the Samsung Monte and now the Galaxy S.

I was the envy of everyone at school when I bought the Nokia 3210. It cost me £149.99 and had no aerial (unlike everybody else's).

The phone felt solid, looked very classy and is the probably the only phone I still have today that didn't go wrong.

Had loads of phones throughout the years from various Nokia's such as the 6600 but by far the phone with the biggest impact was the iPhone 3G, it was the first phone I couldn't put down!

Nokia 7110 (2000) holds some fond memories for me. One of the first wap enabled phones and the automatic slider

Probably my next memorable phone was the original orange SPV (2002). Mainly used for MSN messenger as well as oranges first unlimited data plan (though I think it had a stupidly low fair use policy but was never enforced) for £6 a month extra

Also have some fond memories of the NEC343i (2005) phone which was one of O2's first iMode handsets not only because O2 gave unlimited free iMode mail and MMS to other iMode phones and my girlfriend also had an iMode handset which helped save money. The phone was also slim, sleek and one review I've just looked at trying to remember the model number, says it looks like Apple have started to do mobile phones

Which leads me nicely on to the iPhone. I missed the first generation and started with the iPhone 3G in 2008 and with the exception of a brief 2 month spell with an Sony Ericsson X10 which was horrible I haven't looked back. I'm so used to the touch screen now that on the rare occasions for whatever reason, I've had to revert to a phone with keys I've found it horrible to use

Have to agree. Better camera than any phone I have had since!

Shame about the joystick though.

Nokia nk503 (8148)
Nokia nk702 (6130)

Starting with the very old school:

Sony "kitkat" 1993 I think, it was very small for the time
Nokia banana phone, as seen in The Matrix

More recent:

Nokia 7610, love it or hate it design
Sony K800i, now my alarm clock, awesome camera and proper flash.

Current:

HTC HD2, 18 months old and cannot find a better phone to replace it, it is just so customizable with good spec, currently dual booting it with a heavily modded Winmo 6.5 OS and Android 2.2, tempted to load it with Windows Phone 7 next.

Motorola Razor, Blackberry and iPhone. I tried to pick one but couldn't. All for different uses, loved the style of the Razor and was my first proper phone. Love the iPhone for it's interface and apps. The Blackberry for it's 1st class push email and comfortable full qwerty keypad.

My N95-8GB at the time it was light years a head of the competition. and was a step change from the functionality of what i had had previously. with it's gps, 5MP camera, big screen etc. there hasn't really been a massive functionality step on the phones i've had since.
