Got who talking? Where? All I can see anywhere are her existing fans and others who, with a couple of exceptions, are only making negative comments. Hardly the desired effect, is it?

She's only being spoken about in a separate thread on here because a separate thread was started to mention that she was going to be performing and even then it's only on its second page. Let's hope no more threads on Fantasia are started or the site's server may blow up!

Where are Fantiasia's offerings on the UK itunes charts? Oh, yes, that's right, nowhere. Even Lee DeWyze's album got into the top 200 following his performance last week.

Bitterness? Why exactly?

Actually her album is currently no 14 on the itunes R&B chart bearing in mind it was 132 yesterday (and it's been out for a year .) With the only UK airplay being last night

I like Fantasia but your need to always bring another contestant into it is pathetic.

Besides, if you think Fantasia is being more talked about or anywhere near as talked about, you really do read very selectively. Also, as CS said, most of the talk about Fantasia's performance, other than from her fans or a handful of neutrals, has sadly been negative and in some cases quite ridiculing.

I admit to being a fan but there's some gratuitously offensive and just plain nasty childish stuff in this thread , I don't know if other Idols get the same but that to me is pointless .

I like Fantasia but I didnt like the song or her look so I just forwarded the performance. She's a lot better than that song.

Believe me, one or two of them get worse, a lot worse.

My opinion on Fantasia's performance ........ cute but a bit cheesy, she looked interesting (Fantasia has never been a stick insect so film role or not, I don't know why some are commenting on her weight), the song was absurd, her vocals were reliable as always (but I've always disliked her voice), the shout out to Steven at the end was toe curling, nothing about the performance was worthy of a standing ovation (but it was Fantasia supporter Randy who started it and JLo followed ........ and Steven was nudged up by her ).

The shout out to Steven was supposed to be funny , I laughed. she knows him they worked on stage together at the Grammy's a few years back on the Sly and Robbie tribute .

I know that but I still found it rather cringey and even more so when Steven had to be nudged by Jennifer to stand up.

Don't get me wrong, though I don't like Fantasia's voice I see her appeal and she is one of the nicest and most deserving people to come out of Idol but I don't think this was her finest hour. I actually think it was all down to the song for me.

Collard Greens and Cornbreads appears to be moving quickly up the Itunes R&B singles charts and the album is currently at 14 , so hopefully it may get some airplay

I wouldn't hold my breath. Other previous contestants whose singles and albums have had a boost on itunes after their performances haven't got any airplay as a result.

I saw the song as a woman saying to a man "You can treat me however you like and I will stand for it because I love you"..

Her interpretation of Summertime when she as a contestant was just fantastic, a real stand out moment of Idol

That was pretty much my interpretation of the lyrics.

Fantasia's performance of Summertime was lifted by Simon for Leona a few years later on XF, except Leona sang it better.

That song is my least favourite on the album, but I thought she gave a great performance. is she still making the film version of the Color Purple musical?

True, if you listen to both versions on fantasia and Leona's first albums its exactly the same musical arrangement. Good old Simon eh?!

I didn't really like the song but, imo, Fantasia is the best person I've seen in a tv talent show ever and is in a league of her own as far as AI winners are concerned. I've never seen anyone since who made the hairs the back of my neck stand up like they did every time she appeared

I agree with you though I know that there are an equal number of people that hate her with a passion and will be only too happy to tell you that . As for the song it's actually pretty catchy and even has it's own little dance now

I stand by my original post , I edited it as I thought better of it .That's what the edit function is for . I don't have any control over when others choose to quote my post . I don't have any control over the time in which editing of posts can occur . I think you are the one that's making yourself look embarrassingly desperate .

Sadly another purpose it serves is to embarrass those of us who are fans of Fantasia but also of other contestant/s and who don't feel threatened by their success.

I quoted len112's original post for its ridiculousness and lack of accuracy and pointed out some home truths. Unfortunately the edited post is even more ridiculous and inaccurate.

You're being very selective about who your aiming your attacks at in this thread Ibeca . No mention of the borderline offensive comments upthread attacking someone who you claim to be a fan of , but happy to moderate me for daring to have an opinion that differs from other posters , where are you pulling up others for their ridiculous comments ? What makes you think that the comments that you are making aren't equally ridiculous , and who are you to think you can point out some home truths you don't even know me . How patronising.
