I really like James, I thought it was a great performance tonight.

Great to see Haley finally perform to her potential.

Jacob managed to keep it under control this time. I thought he was another standout.

I loved Scotty but the song wasn't wonderful.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Naima, funnily. It wasn't the best by a long chalk but it was a lot more enjoyable than I usually find her.

Casey and Lauren were ok.

Stefano and Thia were a bit boring.

I wasn't keen on Pia this week, it seemed a bit off in places, and I thought Paul was awful as usual.

Regards

Julian

Just wanted to say if Pia wasn't as vocally strong this week its because she is ill, glad she didn't play the sympathy card!

He looks like an Irish boy to me, he looks like most of my cousins
He does, doesn't he?

Though with a name like Abrahams he's probably Jewish.

Enjoyed Scotty, agreed with the judges' comments about it seeming very natural etc , in certain places his diction needed work though.

Naima - The reggae accent sounded put-on to me, liked that she took a risk and tried something new but she didn#t sing well enough.

Paul - One of his worst, and that's from a non-fan. My boyfriend watched for the first time and can't see why he's there either. No tune whatsoever!

Pia - Impressive, but if you'd seen her for the first time last night you wouldn't have been as impressed as having seen her others, she overdid it in many parts.

Stefano - Loved the song choice, sang really well, sounded slightly tired in places but even my mum agreed it was one of hisn best.

Lauren - really liked this actually, although she over-warbled in places, and the lyrics are a bit strange coming from her lol. Stop flirting with old men Lauren! (More importantly, old men, stop flirting with Lauren!)

Jacob - Great voice, a little predictable and lacked control in parts despite toning it down this week, his voice did suit the song though.

Thia - In parts, sleepy, but I think she did emote well, especially towards the end, the tone of her voice is really growing on me but she still may not be ready for this.

James - He's a real showman which is an important skill to have, didn't show off his vocals thois week but we know he can, so he better had next week lol! Still really like him!

Casey - He's not a singer, he is trying hard but it was a mistake to bring him this far based on his voice. He got through it well though, and his image compromise was interesting.

Haley - Really not getting the hype, for some reason, TPTB want to keep her out of danger this week. Shouty and OTT almost all the way through, she gave it a good go though, better than Paul and Naima so should stay.

xxxx

Probably a little strongly phrased but quite true really. James is a joke but at least he's one that gets funnier by the week.
He certainly is.

I didn't know whether to laugh or throw something at the screen during this week's performance. Still, the running and jumping and inappropriately cheesy for rock facial expressions distract attention from the less than stellar vocals.

Abrams and yes he's Jewish.

I can't believe he's only the third Jewish contestant in the finals. It seems very little over the course of 10 years.

She didn't sound any different to what she usually does. It's not as if she usually reaches those notes effortlessly or sounds pleasant doing it.

I read that his father is Jewish but his mother isn't. Which, as far as the Jewish religion goes, means that he isn't (unless he converted).

That's right. If your mother's not Jewish, you're not Jewish. Casey may have converted, I don't know. I thought his mother was Jewish too as well as his father,

It's just what I read while googling:

I don't know how accurate it is.

I've found a time saving watching the performance programme; turn on ITV2+1 at 9pm and toggle between that station and ITV2. I get most of the performances and less of the adverts. Next day I go to the programme website and get the result. anyone else. Mind you, I don't watch the programme with anyone else!

It's a good idea!
I have Sky+ so it's even easier for me. We always set the recorder and only start watching 1h after the beginning of the show in order to skip adverts and pointless waffle.

I've a HV-250 Freeview+ PVR, so that'd work for me, but then I like my early nights sometimes.
