Week 7: Head-to-Head Week

In a change to the usual format, next week players will face off against each other 1v1 in head-to-heads as well as competing with everyone else to be crowned the weekly champion. But in order to win this week you also need to be able to beat your head-to-head opponent!

How it will work
Everyone who has taken part in Season 14 so far (except anybody who only played the first week) will be put into a random draw and allocated an opponent. Players will then submit their predictions to me in private, much like the blind week earlier in the season. When the ratings come in, as well as scoring in the usual way, players will score an additional point (2 points for a special) every time they get closer to the actual rating than their opponent. If they are as close as their opponent, the bonus point(s) will be "rolled over" to the next rating, and so on. Any bonus points remaining at the end will be allocated to the person within the pair with the highest wins up to that point, or if it's a tie, the player to most recently win a head-to-head.

The draw
The results of the draw will follow this post. If I do not receive predictions from all players (very possible) then a second draw will take place only involving the players whose originally allocated partner did not submit.
