I think that would be dependant on the network and location, as far as i am aware, iphone4 supports HSPDA i would imagine that a realistic download speed would be around 4mbs

Theoretically: "Support for both HSDPA and HSUPA in iPhone 4 makes the phone a '3.5G' device and means it can theoretically achieve 7.2 Mbps downloads and 5.8 Mbps uploads, but those capabilities are also dependent upon the mobile operator."

In reality it's unlikely to get anywhere near those maximum speeds. Personal experience with O2 and a good signal puts it at about half of the max figure for download. I've not experienced over about 1Mbps for upload.

To test the speed on Three I downloaded the Speedtest App for the IPhone and took a screenshot of the results http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...y/f1710961.jpg, it managed to achieve a download speed of 2.09 Mbps & upload speed of 1.32 Mbps

To be honest don't think I will look back now had good service with 3 so far it seems a lot more reliable and stable compared to O2 half the time.
