Has the girl I think her name bis Naima got anything to do with Africa ? Seeing as she uses Africa and not a certain country I assume she's not

I'm not certain if her parents were actually born in Africa but the family is of African ancestry. Naima herself was born in Milwaukee, Winsconsin, USA, and gets her music/dance influences from her mother, who is a jazz singer, and through being part of an African dance group, and she sings in a reggae band with her husband.
