No problem. I'm the same - I love finding new music and I spend several hours a week doing so. And I love recommending music to others too. I hope you like Cut Copy - they are one of my favourite bands of the last few years.

Been meaning to check these guys out for ages, then was in HMV doing some shopping and saw their self titled album for £5 so I thought why not?

I have to admit - i am a total convert after listening to that! What an album! Best tracks for me were.... actually stuff that, I'll just have the whole album. Will definitely be preordering a signed copy of Pala from play.com tonight me thinks!

Expect me to be pestering you for names then

I was actually thinking of starting a sort of general reccomendations thread that everyone can use but i wasn't sure if was a good idea

Anyhow to keep it on FF talk, my parents won't let me preorder until tomorrow I hope they aren't out of the signed copies

Heheh sure, I have loads A recommendations thread is a great idea, but on a forum as big as this I doubt it will work because it will get pushed down by all the other active threads, then people will just forget about it - similar threads have been started before and that's what's happened. Probably best to leave it for now, and just recommend music the way we've done in this thread.

Can't say I'm that fussed about them, to be honest. I'm not really into much indie music these days. I did used to be, but I just sort of went off it a few years ago, for whatever reason. Now I'm mainly into music from the pop/dance spectrum.

I'm fully expecting loads of comments about how they've "sold out" because the new sound is a bit more pop-dance, but I honestly love Live Those Days Tonight.

I cannot wait for Pala, I've literally played the first album to death.

their NME interview is fantastic, mainly Ed....but i REALLY dont mine

he gave a fantastic overwiew of the album tracks...i sense Pala will be the album of the year...not JUST summer. I mean it is influenced by the 80s Pop/Club scene, It explores varieties of Dance. Some Indie, R&B influences, 90s Boyband too. I think it will be so explorative and fantastic!

If anyone sees the NME issue with the lads and their parrot on the cover, have a read! love the photos of them on the lilos too and the water rapids......and sauna

Even though it has not been THAT long, i have missed new material by them....Live Those Days Tonight and Young Blood (TN&F) are my songs of the year!

I've just checked that out, it's amazing They're going to be massive this summer. I remember 2 years ago, they were my favourite band, and it looks as though their new album will be just as amazing.
