My father in-law is going to ditch his sky+ hd.
To save money (long term)
He wants to get freesat.
I have suggested the Humax option.
But I see there are now two versions 320gb and 500gb.
Apart from the HDD is there any difference?
E.G New functions etc.
320gb £192 delivered 500gb £244 delivered.
Cheers Kev

P.S I have been told I can have his Sky+HD box to use on my multi room!

good price on that link to ebay, seems strange that they only come with 1 years warranty though, humax hdr's usually come with 2 years, there grade A refurbished ones only come with 1 year though, i have sent them message to try and clear it up.

Apologies for hijacking this thread, but its kind of related.

I'm looking to replace my freesat (cheapo grundig box) with a Humax PVR, only problem is that there is only one feed to that box at the moment. I have Sky+ in the main room, this is for the conservatory.

How much should I expect to pay to get this converted to a dual line (live in the North West).

Thanks

Do it yourself!

just run another coax from the LNb and follow the route of the original cable, we did it for my sons tv in his room.
