Hi

I'm after a cheap way of sending sms's to my partner who is abroad. Has anyone tried this service from www.unlimitedtext.co.uk

If anyone else knows of any other good ways I can text on the cheap internationally, that would be great.

Many thanks in advance

o2 have an international option, from what I remember for £10 you get a load of mins and texts to a pre-selected country.

Do you have a smartphone?

I use Kik Messenger (http://www.kik.com/) to send messages internationally - it's free to download and free to use, and has nifty features like a little "D" by your message when it's been delivered and "R" when it's been read.

Of course, you both need reasonably modern phones (Android or iPhone) with data plans in your respective countries, but if you do it's a no-brainer.

O2 offer an international option on pay as you go called something like 'my country'.

It gives 10p texts to all international destinations and 100 free minutes to certain countries when you top up £10.

I use ChompSMS on my Android phone to text Australia.
Thinking of trying Textfish instead
