Decided to see if I could get one from O2 online today, ordered phone on £32pm contract (24m) 600 mins and 500MB, phone was dispatched tonight so hopefully its a good phone.

Littlebird22 you'll have to give me a review when you get it! Although I'm sure to get it no matter what you say!! Quite annoyed that I still can't preorder it with Vodafone online. Feels like Ive been waiting AGES!!

No neither do I. Had a bad experience with Carphone Warehouse last year so am very weary of these companies. I really want this phone though, feels like ages since I first saw it and find it ridiculous that Vodafone or Orange don't have it for pre-order. Its available on O2 already!

Yeah I've been with orange direct for 10 years and had nothing but excellent service, including aftersales.
Always hear horror stories about cpw/phones4u so want to avoid at all costs

SGS2 has Touchwiz4 not 3 (interface) runs android 2.3.3 but this is coming to the SGS soon. It also has a dual core processor, 8MP camera and 1080i playback. Oh and its thinner.

This phone is awesome, it's my first android and I've been using a crappy old Nokia 3330 waiting for this phone to come out, so I've obviously jumped up a lot which makes my amazement even higher.
Spent the last two days downloading apps and organising my widgets and screens. The "Live Wallpaper" is a brilliant little feature, you get an animated scene (like a beach or a wind farm) that reflects the situation outside where you are, so in the day it is sunny and the sun moves accurately throught the day and it gets darker in the evening and you get a night scene at night, but it also reflects the weather so it will rain if it's raining outside or snow or sun etc.
The internet is as fast as my home PC when connected via wifi and Kies Air is brilliant. If you have a wireless modem you can fire up the kies app which gives you an IP, type it into you browser on your PC and you get a website that shows you the contents of your phone. I use this to transfer videos/photos to my PC.
Anyway I've been loving this phone so far, any questions on it I'll be happy to answer (if I can).

1080p actually and i would say 'recording' rather than playback which could imply the phone's screen is 1080 which it isn't. It will playback at 1080p on a compatible TV though via the MHL cable (not included)
Well, got mine yesterday. Gotta say, its worth every penny. Feels very comfy, screen is gorgeous, insanely fast! Loving it! Just teriffied of scratching it!

Bear in mind that was taken with the default setting and the flash on. I've since played about and found if you adjust the lighting setting in the camera you can often take better image without the flash if you have decent artifical light in the room.
The flash is very powerful (for a phone) though and I would suspect will make picth black scenes light up pretty well although I haven't tested it yet.

Very nice, better than my iPhone 4.
went into vodafone shop today to see when they were expecting it in, the guy said not yet and that vodafone didnt have a set date but it would be july/august at the latest

The deals seem to be changing all the time, I was all set to leave o2 but they got some good deals now. Vodafone are not getting it anytime soon as they're getting the HTC sensation exclusive, O2 have the galaxy s2 on a bonus tariff £50 for phone, 300 mins, unlimited text, 500mb data for £27 month.

I thought it had been confirmed it was to be released on all major networks on May 1st, i.e tomorrow?!
If its not going to then I'm going to go through Phones 4 U, I don't really want to but can't wait to get my hands on this phone and my contract runs out before July!

I've heard a lot about Orange not getting it until June at least so I took the plunge and went into Phones4u...
Was pleasantly surprised by the service in there with the guy I was talking to.
Came out with the phone 30 mins later!
After a days use....this is the best phone ever. So fast, quick, responsive, things download and install in seconds. It's amazing.
