She doesnt connect with her lyrics very well and to see how badly that can be done , one only has to look at Pauls performance last night which was devoid of an emotional intelligence at all.

Really? backing singers are often marvellous singers, with perfect pitch and the fabulous control.
Ask Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion , Tom Jones or David Bowie if they want someone with less singing ability than Pia as a backing singer.
I dont think anyone would have kept, say, Madonna as a backing singer, she just wouldn't be good enough.

Are you bright? Do you have sense of humour? I think neither.

oh not that again ...

i'm female and i favour Jacob because i adore his voice and how he's progressing and becoming better and better. I have no further "agenda" and would be delighted to support a woman, and was actually supporting Naima before she was booted.

Paul really surprised me last night. Usually I can't stand him but I thought he was one of the best of the night.

On the flip side, I love Haley but I thought her's was the worst of the night

Loved Casey and liked Scotty, James and Lauren.

I thought Pia, Stefano and Jacob were pretty mediocre.

I would have predicted Pia in the bottom three if it wasn't for the fact that I thought she was more popular than that. Personally, I'm not that bothered she's gone.

Regards

I don't say alll women only support men. Simply that women tend to favour men. It's the case that these shows have more female than male followers and voters are more likely to be female.
The girls do find guys they like and become fans. Less so with female performers. It's not an opinion it's fact. If you ask AI fir their stats they'll tell you that's the case.
As for liking Jacob. Each to his own, I doubt he's the type of guy women (who are so minded) favour ..... being bitchy camp, arrogant and pretentious.
He has a decent voice but he'll never be a star with that approach.

Paul is a musician but he cant perform well and his execution lacks awareness. Seeing him do the macca week was bad, he interpretation of Folsom prison was deserving of a prison sentance.
But a lot of people are not very discerning about musical ability, performance style and star quality
And some people pick a fav and stick with them no matter how bad their fav becomes.

I agree with all of this. I liked Pia's performance best on the night, so was surprised she left. On performances so far I had the three girls doing better than any of the six boys (apart from Scotty), so am disappointed that one left. How on earth Paul is still there I have no idea, but I seldom understand the American voters.

On the other hand, Pia fans should read this (it mentions my dear Jacob but obviously applies to any contestant)

I already kind of knew it, everybody kinda knows it, but reading it here in black and white makes it all the more scary

Your post pretty much sums up my thoughts.

I do like Paul, and this was his best week for sure. And I like Haley, but she was a bit too growly for my liking this week.

I also liked Lauren and Scotty, as usual, and I liked Casey again this week. I thought this was James' 2nd weakest week.

Nigel actually said in an interview that Pia was never a frontrunner, and it is a case of any one of them could go each week....interesting. This was actually something he said the other week, where the top 3 are always changing and there is no clear frontrunner. Also, addressing the the way people are voted off, and maybe some changes could be made, with the judges having a say in who stays/goes, for future seasons.

Looks like Vote for the Worst are claiming it as their victory that Pia went home and Paul avoided the bottom three.

Can't they just sod off.
