Chocolate bars, big or small?

I am addicted to Nestle Dairy Crunch, I eat it nearly every day. At one local shop there are 2 choices each costing 99p, a big 100g "sharing bar", or 4 small 33g bars.

Simple arithmetic tells you that the 4 bars are better value as you get 132g rather than 100g. Yet to my eye the 100g one still gives the appearance of being bigger and better. Why is this?

I am going to buy the 4 small bars from now on.

My son loves Nestle cruch. I only ever see it in the big bar though, I bought him one from Asda this morning.

The smaller one, it helps me stop eating at one Eating half an open bar...not gonna happen, so the big one is just not a good idea lol.

Nestle themselves call the 100g bar a "sharing block" on the wrapper. I guess you're meant to share it around with your friends/family while lounging on your sofa. If you're greedy like me however I eat it all myself.
