Apple I Phone 4
Going to get one of these. Can anyone recomend which network is best?
Also to pay £100 and £35 on a contract is that OK? On Vodafone now and badly want to upgrade! Good deals ... any advice? Are they good for radio ??!

3 has some good deals with all you can eat data. But check first if you get a good signal from them where you are.
As for radio. They don't have an FM radio but loads of streaming apps exist which get radio over the internet, such as Tunein Radio. |

The two best deals are:
1) 3 - £69 upfront and £35pm, 24 months. Gets you 2000 mins, 5000 texts and true unlimited data. (All networks apart from 3 and Giffgaff, say unlimited data but actually have a cap. 3 and Giffgaff do genuine unlimited data). 3 also allows tethering whereas most networks do not or charge extra for it. 2) Tesco Mobile - £25 - 250 mins, 5000 texts, 1GB but phone costs £342 upfront. It used to be cheaper - £20 pm but limited stock has pushed prices up (plus problems in Japan raising costs). Tesco is only 12 month contract - most other places you'll have to get a 24 month contract. |

Even if it does come out, the second hand market for older iphones is pretty strong, I am on t-mobile its not bad. 3g was faster on three and would had stayed with them, but couldnt get a signal in my house, without hanging out a window or door, so its best checking with them,

I've got the iphone 4 on vodafone and I have found that they have the most realiable signal. I find three can be way too patchy but vodafone have a fast 3g service plus excellent 2g backup.

Based on what? It will almost certainly be this year - announced in either June or September.
If they announce in September it'll be an October/November launch = end of the year. Trust me, iPhone 5 will NOT be announced in June. |

It's already widely known (if you know where to look) that the conference in June is going to discuss iOS developments and no hardware.

Nobody knows there's been evidence to suggest a delay but all the vibes pumping out lately are it won't be delayed. It will have a better screen, reports phone networks will carry it from end of June, Sony 8MP camera will be in it. Iphone 5 will come in June or atleast announced. They could always ship it from July. The reports of delays is to gather hype. I also read Steve Jobs will be at the press conference in June so yes the Iphone 5 is coming.

The very last bit of that article says it all! "As many have commented here, you never know what Apple will do — they might surprise us all and announce the iPhone 5 at the WWDC. However, I’m afraid that this just won’t be the case. Let’s all hope I’m wrong." In other words, "your guess is as good as mine!" That certainly does not say,"iPhone 5 is not happening until at least the end of the year." What a complete heap of bull. |

'Not happening' is a welcome rumour to sell more of the iPhone 4.
The Super AMOLED Galaxy S is down to £300 or less now in that the next generation S2 is due this month. Considering Samsung no doubt are also be making the next generation Iphone 5 SOC it would be no great shock to see iPhone 5 arrive early May, |

At the end of the day all these stories are just rumors. Nothing is official until announced by Apple.

IMO, get a nearly new or new iphone 4 from second hand market (avforums etc) for £400. Sign up for three.co.uk "One Plan". Comes with unlimited data, which is truly unlimited and they allow personal hotspot, that means you can share the same broadband with your other wifi devices including netbooks / laptops / desktop / iPad etc
If you sign-up for One Plan via quidco / topcashback you may get £100 as cashback. Most of the time I get around 4mbps download and 1.5mbps upload speed. |
