The judges are not doing their job properly. They loved every performance. The person who got the least praise was Pia and that was only because they wanted her to improve her "performance". I think she has a great voice - very recordable and probably likely to do very well. The reason she did not go through was that the Americans don't like females anymore. They are allowed to text for their favourites over and over again and the teenage girls are obviously voting for the boys. I think Pia performed as well as if not better than Leona Lewis and has an equally impressive voice. She was my favourite and if you look at he forum on placings for the top 9 more people put her at the top than anyone else.

It is terrible that she should leave. To lose 5 girils and 0 boys is ridiculous.Recent idol winners have been pretty awful. The best singer generally does not win. Kris Allen/Lee Dwyze - really????

The show is very successful for this type of result is not good for it!!!

I'm not surprised, for a number of reasons. I liked Pia, I think she deserved to get to the final 3 or 4, but I had a bad feeling she'd be in trouble this week. The judges have made an issue out of her singing ballads and lack of moving on stage for a few weeks now (as if she's the only contestant who gives a similar performance week after week ), and I don't think she had as many passionate fans to vote hardcore for her. Even a lot of people who do like her just think she's 'good' but probably wouldn't say she's their favourite or pick up the phone for her. Whereas with Haley for example, more people would be willing to vote for her because she's been in danger before and they realise the importance of voting.

Also, this season has just been very anti-women and pro-WGWG in general (even moreso than usual)! America certainly don't want another Syesha/Adam/Crystal threatening to end their streak of WGWG winners!

& that's a bad thing ?

Syesha came third, and to be honest never stood a chance against either David, one of whom definatley wasn't WGWG

It is for me, I think he is an egomaniac and an average singer at best... I am not a fan of his at all... plus he got away with singing dull country songs yet Pia got slaughtered for doing ballads...

I have to agree. Her song which was popular in the 1960s was probably lost on most of the viewing audience. It was a second or even third rate copy of Tina Turner/Phil Spector at the peak of their talents.

Scotty has a rotten personality and really isn't a very nice person. If anybody wants to see my reasoning behind that, you can ask for it. I can't be bothered to type it all out at the minute.

I'm horrified Pia has gone so early! Even if she was never going to win it, did she really deserve to go out in the fifth week (which seems to happen every year with my favourites on X Factor!) when she had so much more to give?

I've also gone right off Haley Reinhart now... Anything I had nice to say about her was eradicated as soon as she smiled when they said Pia was going home... Everybody looked shocked, Jacob/Lauren cried and then there was Haley just beaming at Pia as if to say, "Ahahaha YESYESYESYESYES"

Clint got the full blame for the Jacee thing when they kicked him out of the group and Scotty came out shining. However I don't think thats fair because at 0:06, he completely brushed it under the carpet. When Clint was nervous and was hesitating, he tries to completely ignore it and only started to apologize when it started to look bad on the group...

For me, that just shows how two-faced he actually is and that is a huge turn-off personality and performer wise. I don't doubt the guy has a good country voice, regardless of whether country is my thing or not, but just for doing that and then getting all the heroic mentions because he stuck up for Jacee.

He REALLY DIDN'T. He wanted to chuck him out just as much as the others. It was only Frances that actually tried to console Jacee when they broke the news to him... I think my hatred just got bigger due to the reaction of hate on Clint (who I didn't really like for his voice) and everybody saying Scotty was an honourable guy for admitting he was wrong. -w- BLERGHHH.

She probably annoyed a lot of people by making it as far as the final 3 though, and beating the other WGWGs that year, despite never standing a chance of winning.

David A wasn't a true WGWG but he had a lot of the characteristics that we've seen in the WGWGs in the following series, including the winners: safe, bland, "cute", and the first WG in WGWG. David C wasn't ever safe or bland, but the finale between him and David A started a trend of winners who were hybrids of Cook's WGWGness and Archuleta's mediocrity.

That trend looks like it's going to continue this year. Congratulations Scotty!

I think James is the one to beat, he has been leading polls for some time. He is also the one being pimped the most.

It was always going to be an all-male final, the question was who would he be up against, Jacob or Scotty. Now that Jacob has entered the bottom 3, Scotty emerges as the most likely contender.

Had Scotty just continued to sing country I don't think he would have won, because when it gets to 3 songs the audience would see him as a one-trick pony and all 3 performances would sound tiresomely the same. James or Jacob would have the advantage over him of versatile repertoire and vocal range. But now that Scotty has revealed another side to him, I believe he's in with a real chance, if he were to throw in another Elvis song, such as Heartbreak Hotel, and does it well.

You can't possibly know that she was smiling out of delight of seeing Pia leave... Maybe Haley was happy that she survived longer after her stint in the bottom two in the first two weeks?... Maybe she was friends with Jacob who was just after being named as through to next week?... Maybe she was friends with Stefano who was just after being saved also?... You can't make assumptions about people based on what you perceive to be the case!

Pia was good but lacking that crucial penis the current audience demands of its contestants.

Well, in one of her post-show interviews, she was going to be singing another one for next week's theme:

So, based upon that, I don't think it would have endeared her any more to the viewers. And Randy would have been bemoaning: Ballad! Ballad! Ballad!zzzzzzzz and JLo would still have been telling her she needed more stage presence.

Who's to say whether Pia would have changed things up a little or just kept on doing the same thing if she had stayed on further? If she had planned on singing another ballad next week, then she might have well been going next week.

The judges can't be bothered to critique and can't be bothered to use the save on the most talented contestant, instead flinging it at the first one who causes some debate. They're in no position to start lecturing the public really.
