I'm on O2 and it's certainly a little funky today.

It's not that its not working, just that all the status updates seem to say the were updated 'a moment ago' even though I read the same status an hour or so ago. The last refresh is up to date and new status updates are appearing.

So there is certainly soemthing going on. Can't have much to do with the update as that came out a few days ago and I had no issues until today, if there was an error with the app it would have appeared as soon as I updated.

I would suspect it is a server issue and it should sort itself out at some point soon. How about you actually talk to your friends in the mean time

I'm on Orange and the Facebook app doesn't work for me since the upgrade (get the "no internet connection" thing) up I can get on via Safari. That suggests it's an app issue rather than a network/Orange issue.

Mine's doing the same on Orange, it wouldn't load the news feed while I was out but it's fine now I'm connected to the wifi in my house. Could it be something to do with the latest update? I updated it last night and now have this problem.

Mine is working on wi-fi but not when trying to connect through mobile internet. Seems like an Orange issue. But how long will it take them to rectify??

It started working for me last night but now it's gone again. I can only access the app through wi-fi.

The "Just a moment ago" thing is to do with the app in general, this has nothing to do with what network we are on. The same goes for it crashing as soon as we open it too. i know people on all networks that this has happened to and it was straight after they updated, it was a couple of days after and still ongoing

If you look at the reviews on the App store you will see it is an issue with the latest update and nothing to do with the networks.

It was working okay for me over the weekend, but now I can only access the app through wi-fi again.

Update
just looked on the android market and it seems to have happened to loads of people.

This is not a network issue at all! the problem is also present when connected to a wifi network.

For those who don't pay attention, the Facebook news feed has been very different the past few days, you can now like comments on a status update, the box which displays how many comments and likes is now more of a rectangle box.. try liking a comment on the news feed and doing
it again on someone's profile instead of on the news feed via the Facebook app you will see the difference, there is also many other changes..

All the bugs most likely haven't been sorted out yet, which is why you are getting the 'no internet connection' message.

There was a day in the week they returned to the old style just for a day, its much smoother than the new one.

It's just a complete mess. I haven't had a problem over wi-fi, but haven't been able to connect using mobile internet for days now.

I notice that on the news feed, it's changed to likes first then comments, but on the profile pages it's still comments first then likes. And, as you say, it's the old style box for commenting and liking on profile pages, but a new one on the news feed.

Is anyone else still having problems? It's very strange. I live in North-West England and went to London today. When I set off, I was getting the 'no internet connection' message. I used the mobile site to make a comment. Later in the journey, I got a push notification and was able to access the app normally. This continued all day, with it using the old style. It worked all the way home. At home, I connected via wi-fi and it still worked, but with the new style and not properly. But now, if I try to connect using mobile internet, I get the 'no internet connection' message again. Weird.

Not sure if it's anything to do with iOS update. I haven't yet updated and mine's working again now

Just thinking guys if these issues are isolated to the Orange network mostly, might these services outage problems be caused by the engineering work to prepare the eventual merger of the T Mobile and Orange 3G Network infrastructures.

There's an update to the Facebook app on the App Store now. I hoped it would solve all these issues, but unfortunately the 'no internet connection' bug is still there.

Yep, when I saw the update I thought yay the bugs will be fixed but nope. Also when I go to type my password it says "this build is enabled for employees only"
