It is just a coincidence. Rhydian sang them because they're good songs and he has a lovely voice. Jacob is singing them because they "mean something" to him. He's probably gay and talks about having troubles in his life and his songs seem to be a way of getting back at people who've caused him trouble. I don't like his voice, his face when he's singing he looks as if he's going to burst into tears at any moment, his moves and worst of all his clothes which are all a size too small. He's a big man and should accept it, or slim down to the size he wants to be. Wearing clothes too small is never a good look.

A tenner says they make him sing the most boring song in the world. Maybe i'm paranoid and biased (*coughiamcough*) but I have a feeling they want him out. Problem is, he could sing the phonebook and still I'd gladly listen. We'll see what happens.

OMG. I wasn't a fan of Jacob. But I LOVED his voice during Sound of Silence. I wanted Paul to STFU because his stupid girly out of tune growl was ruining the song. It was the first time that I really enjoyed Jacob's voice and thought it sounded warm, rich and inviting. Esp compared to James, who I think was trying to harmonise with him but sounded flat. If only he had sung this in the main show.

He's my clear favourite and has been since the day he sang "God Bless The Child"... funnily enough my other half and I have also been comparing him to Antony Hegarty...

I saw Antony at Academy 3 in Manchester (capacity of around 200-250) shortly before the release of "I am a bird now"...it was one of the most beautiful and intimate gigs I've ever attended and his voice was more spellbinding than I'd even anticipated.
