I have an iphone app called pi cubed - that also indicates the answer is 288.
Based on my mathematical knowledge - you work the calculation out as: 48/2(9+3) = 48/2 * (9+3) 48/2 * (9+3) = 48/2 * 12 48/2 * 12 = 24 * 12 24 * 12 = 288 |

Just as well since the internet is a huge resource and it could take hours upon hours to gain information on something so basic, and at the same time, a very short space of time to implement BIDMAS to an equation. |
