I was a bit concerned that Judas didn't seem to be doing anything exceptional in terms of sales/airplay in the US because nobody was talking about actual figures unlike with BTW which got headline updates it seemed each day. All that's been mentioned is just that Billboard article posted very early on.

It's unlikely to flop, but I do hope she gets on it once she see's it not simply repeating BTW's success "just because". Promo, promo, promo.

I have a bad feeling the video isn't going to surface for weeks either. It was done quite recently...

The eras are pretty different stylistically so I think it's quite polarising and people tend to prefer one period over the other, that's what I've found at least.

But Judas is very similar musically to the type of thing you'd get on The Fame Monster so as a standalone piece of music I've eventually grown to like it, because I love The Fame Monster. Didn't take to Born This Way at all, but I have no idea where the album's going to take her so I'm reserving judgement.
This happens all the time as Artists develop and change. Some people who loved Kings Of Leon before now hate them because they changed they're sound. I don't think success bothered them as such, but there was a definite change.

And you've seen people on this thread say things like; ''Oh, I wish she was fun like she used to be'', etc.

And to ask again; any release date for the Judas video?
True dat, true dat.

I'm not even sure which era I prefer. Probably TFM. Just enjoying the ride in general, I suppose.

Judas will go to number 1 in most countries, you can count on it GaGa will be everywhere!

Its a great song, coming off of a great single that had great success. The video will probably be amazing and the album cover is pure sex!

People need to have more faith, you guys spend all your time looking towards the next flop...why not try and just enjoy the era, the music, the performances, the photoshoots, the album cover?!

If she doesn't get some promo in soon, Judas is in danger of falling sharply, to the point where even the video might not be enough to salvage it. I can't see how the song will reach no.1 now whatever happens anyway

The song has as much chance of getting number 1 than any other song. You can't write off a song that was first heard by people 3 days ago.

GaGa has poor release strategies in the UK, releasing on Fridays when nobody knows the song and doing no promo is a terrible decision here.

I'm just judging it by the general way these things seem to go. Everyone seemed to think Britney's Hold It Against Me would get to no.1, and look what happened there. Then look what happened with her next single. The same sort of thing is happening with Lady Gaga's latest singles, although obviously to a much lesser degree, but it's still the same thing.

I could of course be completely wrong and Judas might end up being a huge no.1, but I can't see it happening as things stand.

I'm not sure what to make of Judas. I loved it on first listen..mainly coz it wasn't "Born This Way" and it was instantly familiar as being more classic GaGa.
But that is also the problem for me I mean Judas is exactly the same structure as Bad Romance but an inferior version. I can't listen to it without thinking of Bad Romance. I still really like the song though but I wouldn't be giving it 5 stars like DS just did with their review. I think it is more 4 stars.

The UK relationship with big American stars is funny, but as long as they're having big success in the US then generally they're fine and will be back on top in the UK soon enough!

I'am I the only one who thinks Judas is better than Bad Romace. It is probably because I heard Judas first but it sounds a lot better to me, Bad Romance is good and I can hear the similarties between the two but Judas just sounds better to me.

I think if the video is amazing then it'll be the next Bad Romance.

I'm sort of hoping it doesn't have a big long intro like BTW/Alejandro, unless it's done amazingly and really creatively. The BTW one, although good, seemed to drag on for quite a bit.

I hope it's the next Bad Romance.

I'm not sure whether I'd like a Telephone-esque video with all the start and stops.

If she does it right, video and promo, I think Judas could end up being the next Bad Romance. From what I've seen she's got a lot of April-May promo coming up.

^^^^ THIS! musically i find Judas so off the wall (like i said it is just behind DITD as my fave overall gaga song) Judas sounds like it has leaped ahead of Bad ROmance....also i love that it has different breakdowns and vocally she sounds stronger too. Also it may be due to the fact Bad ROmance has been played to death but i still like it!

Seriously while i understand Telephones release (although i dont like it) why the heckwas Alejandro released poor judvement anyways nevermind that snag! she has made up for that now....just cannot wait for the video.

And i wouldnt mind a story to this song, as it appears more relevant to use that structure now! BTW and Alejandro were just weak!

But seriously by the sounds of it some of the best songs i have yet to hear....well of course it is! Marry The Night could be the song of the year if speculation is true....everyone seems to love it! hope it is a single too!

RE Alejandro: The song was fine but the video was awful. However, Monster and DITD would've been much better choices.

I miss the days when Gaga did non-stop promotion. Now we're lucky with one televised performance per single.

yeah well it gets more and more difficult as she is THAT much more famous than she was two years ago. her level of security etc. and larger schedules and the confidentiality of her album material under wraps etc. whereas with The Fame it had been out for a while and she was marketing herself as an establishing artist and a growing artist etc. and now she has a lot to cram on in there and her world tour shows too which will be finished in a few weeks.

Indeed, Monster is very underrated and IMO a stronger contender for a single than Alejandro which remains my least favourite on the Fame Monster, along with Teeth which sounds more like a KT Tunstall song.

In a month it will feel like that again, she's just so busy these days, she's touring, whilst trying to launch a new era. How she has time for a relationship is beyond me. Try being a Britney fan, we're lucky to get an interview an era and even then its not a proper interview because she's so protected.
