Given the amount of demand for this service and BT's lack of communication supporting it, I think it would be useful if users were able to make a post here once they notice that their Service is activated, stating which excahnge they are using, so that other users may benefit.

Isn't the rollout based on box serial number?

Still not got ipkayer or BTinfinity. Am in London working off Crystal Palace transmitter. Would have thought London was one of the first places to get any innovations by BT. Am on LNPOP exchange in E3 and no sign of anything !!!!!

Here in West Drayton I noticed I-player on BT Vision had appeared yesterday, just after watching 'Lead Balloon' on my Sony Blu-Ray!

They presumably have to reconfigure each exchange to send iPlayer traffic to the new BT servers complete with appropriate packet prioritisation. Presumably once this has been done they'll be able to add new services (such as ITV Player) without this delay.

I think your BT exchange is more relevant to the iPlayer roll out than your transmitter as it is delivered thru your router

iPlayer doesn't come from Crystal Palace, it comes over the phone line.

Oops! Just noticed Ally has already said all that. The curse of lysdexia. Sorry.

I had that once, a reboot fixed it. Can't speak for the iPlayer upgrade, though, as it hasn't arrived here yet.

I guess that if it's by exchange, the smaller ones will be last? (Not knowing what exactly they have to do...). We have a local exchange in our village (Kingsclere in Berks), so I presume the smaller village ones will be bottom of the list.

cheers
