Hi Everyone

I have had a Nokia 6600 Slide that I've had for a few years now. Although I would love a more modern phone, I just can't afford it. Anyway I do use it to text a lot and for about a year I didn't realise I needed to delete texts so I have a lot on the memory. It now tells me I need to delete 7.1ish mb of memory to recieve texts but it freezes when I try to delete messages. It will suddenly wake up in 2 hours time but I just find it so annoying when it freezes, I am close to throwing it through the window!!

I just need to delete the messages which I'm happy to do but it won't let me!! I have nothing on the phone that I want at all, so maybe I could just wipe the memory or something??

Has anyone any ideas to help?

I think you need to do it from your PC using Ovi/PC Suite. You can export them to your PC first if
you want to keep them.

It is going to take a very long time though, as that represents an awful lot of messages.

In Settings you can use the option to Reset, but this will only change settings to the default. As far as I know, the only way to completely clear the handset is to have it reset using a service. cable.

I tried to reset it yesterday but nothing seemed to happen. I think it might just need to go to the scrap yard. Thanks anyway! I will just have to get a new phone I think and try to get into the habit of deleting messages.
